Township Grille

I ordered the tuna melt and woke up in the middle of the night sicker than I have been in years for 12 hours - definitely food poisoning. Not only was the food disgusting but the servers were awful and seemed like they never took a few minutes to read their own menu. Overall - worst experience I have had in years. more

I have patronized Matthews Twp Grill since the late 1980s. Wed. night was 'Wing Night' .25 ea. back in the day. Adjusted for inflation they are now .50 ea. on Wed. (all day) and SO MUCH BETTER than any 'national chain'. Service is top notch and beer selection is awesome. Do the local economy a favor and get to Matthew Township Grill. more

i absolutly loved eating at township grille. the servers were super friendly and great with kids. they accomadate families, big parties or anything you want. the food was definently enjoyable especially the wings and fish fry. i was surprised to see such a large selection from the menu. customers that were unhappy in the past should really give it another try, you would DEFINENTLY be pleastantly suprised Pros: good food good service great overall more

Ate here after living in another state for awhile.. what a disappointment. The service was awful as was the food. They have a poor selection on their menu and the waitresses are awful. The sandwiches were rather dry. The food was not kept replenished. Drinks were back in a dark corner. Then at the end you were charged a 15% gratuity for no service at all whether you liked it or not! Cons: Expensive, bad food, no service more

good food, good service, good atmosphere. we've been to the grille many times and will continue going back. we love the wings and the fish fry. the waitresses were very accomidating and friendly. the place works for any single person or any family. any wing lover needs to come here, but the menu has something for everyone!! Really great wings, but service is AWFUL. We now only do take out, to avoid the aggravation... until we find another wing joint. My husband and I worked many years waiting tables, we are very understanding of mistakes, delays, hetc. and wherever we go we always tip 20%, but this place........ they don't even deserve a tip at all! horrible service, sign says ""seat yourself"" after doing so we were told we were seated in an area for big parties...even though they had multiple tables for 4 in the area. so they basically made us move after making it obvious we'd wait forever for service if we chose to stay at that table. so my husband and I picked up our two toddlers we had seated and moved to a different dining area were we were than given dirty looks and irritated sighs by the old grumpy people seated in this dining area...needless to say we picked up our kids and left!! I've never felt more unwelcome at a restaurant, if you'd even call it that it's more of a dive. Also they claim to be from western NY but owner is not even from there. the wings are OK at best. We've eaten there before but never will again. You can get decent deep fried food anywhere and this will be one place I never go for it again! The food is generally ok/good. Wings are tasty. The service is absolutely ABYSMAL - to go orders are never ready on time, food orders taken in a haphazard manner, too many people standing around when they could be helping busy colleagues. This could be a really great joint but they just can't seem to get their act together. Give it a miss!!!!!!!!!!! more

By far the best wings south of Buffalo. And better than most wings in Buffalo. Also one of the only places outside of WNY where you can order beef on Weck without receiving a blank stare. more

Township Grille is the only place in Charlotte for real Cincinnati Chili. Anyone from the Ohio area mising Skyline need to head to the Township. more
