We decided to try Towne based on the reviews and reading the menu on line. We went on Saturday night, the bar was very crowded and noisy, and the noise from the bar makes its way into the dining room. This noisy hectic atmosphere is anything but ""romantic"". We orderred a bottle of Chalone Cabernet at the bar, which we enjoyed while we were waiting for a table. The bartender brought it promptly and presented it properly, she provided us with the best service we were to have that evening. Our waiter was pleasant, but not well trained, so the service could best be described as ""amateurish"". He kept referring to my wife and myself as ""you guys"", we were brought the wrong appetizers which were for another table, when our appetizers finally arrived they were mediocre at best. He left the two empty wine glasses on our small crowded table in addition to the two we were already drinking from. Our entrees came before we had finished the appetizers, with our waiter standing there dumbfounded as there was no room on our small table for him to put the entree plates. My wife had the salmon which she said was good. I had the Ahi, but the curry sauce that came with it was too strong and overpowering for the Ahi. I like strong curry, and I like Ahi, but unfortunately the combination was not a good one. I think our waiter asked us if we would like desert when he said ""You guys need anything else?"". We decided that at this point we had had enough and really ""didn't need anything else"" so we opted to skip desert. Don't get me wrong, the meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either. At around $150- for the two of us, we were expecting much more professional service and a higher level of cuisine, I am sorry to say we left feeling very disappointed.
Pros: Good Bartender - Go for Drinks
Cons: Noisy, Mediocre Food, Worse Service, High Prices
