I'm 72 years old and have always been a chicken in the dental chair. This time I had some extensive oral surgery done. Two teeth removed and a sinus augmentation where as I understand it, they went into the sinus cavity from a point on the outside of my upper gums, lifted the sinus membrane and added a material that grows bone so I would have enough bone in my upper jaw to securely hold the implant screw that was also installed. Anyway, my experience during the entire procedure was relaxed and comfortable. No kidding. Getting my teeth cleaned is more uncomfortable and tense that this surgery was thanks to a little yellow pill I was instructed to take an hour and a half prior to the procedure. Tomorrow is day 7 and I go in and have the stiches removed. My recovery this past week was essentially pain free and I experienced no complications.
If sitting in a dental chair stresses you, don't worry. Because it's going to go so easy you will leave wondering why you were ever concerned.
