My mom and I are so appreciative of the doctors and staff at Emerald Coast Animal Hospital. My dogs are always happy to go to the vet's office. It's the best place to take your pets. Thank you! more

Very happy with the service 3/30/2011

I recently went to this hospital and was very happy with the service I recieved. It was a Saturday and I was from out of town visiting. i stopped in with no apt. There was alot of people waiting. My dog was having problems breathing. The very nice and caring receptionist named Kim took my dog from me and immediatly brought him to the Vet. She then put me in a room- ahead of everyone else and had me fill out paperwork and called my vet to get my records faxed. She was so friendly and caring as well the rest of the staff was. My little dog has heart problems and the Dr gave him medication and is doing very well now. If it were not for this very proffesional staff and their knowledge my pet would have died. I can not thank kim ( I remember her name because my daughter is named Kim) and the caring staff enough!! more

Special place 3/29/2011

The Animal Hospital of the Emerald Coast is a special place to entrust the safety and care of your pets. For several years now, my dogs have been taken care of by the reliable, compassionate staff at the Emerald Coast Animal Hospital. My pets enjoy a trip to the vet's office. It would be difficult to go anywhere else. Why? This is a special place for animals. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly; the environment comfortable and clean, the compassion for animals is genuine; the staff is a down-to-earth, yet profession; and the location is convenient. If that isn't enough, Kim, Melanie, Linda, Jen, and Emilee greet and welcome visitors and regular clients with concern and kindness. They are outstanding staff members who are always helpful, supportive, friendly, and positive. Animals don't usually receive the consideration they deserve. At this special, unique animal hospital in Mary Esther, FL, they are given the best of care on the Emerald Coast. Excellent! more

I can not believe all of these reviews you people have written. I have never recieved anything other than superior top of the line service from this hospital. The Dr (with the dark past) as someone put it, is the most compassionate human being I have ever met. I have always been seen promptly and never have had to wait. It is "expensive" to take your animal to the vet - period! I have taken many animals to vets in the area and they are priced the same as all the others. I guess all you people who are fussing don't have anything better to do than to try and ruin the rep of a very good vet and his business. IMO this is an excellent hospital to take any of your animals to as you will recieve the best of care. more

always friendly and caring. 3/17/2011

Animal Hospital is no more pricey than any other vet in FWB. I haven't had any problems with this clinic. I have taken my 12yr old cat there since birth & my 2 yr old pup since his adoption from the pound. They are always friendly and caring. They may have a wait sometimes (emergencies take priority) but they take their time with me when we are seen so it's fair. They keep pet treats at the desk and will do anything they can to help you when you need them.Dr C is so sweet and my cat (who bites him when she gets her shot) still loves him. He's very gentle and kind and PATIENT with the animals, he was meant for this line of work.My cat became pregnant, years ago, before she was ready to be fixed. Unfortunately we could not take care of her babies but the staff found them homes literally in days.I keep going back b/c I know they care about my pets. I'm sorry to those who have had bad experiences. And to those who think it's expensive, owning a pet is expensive! more

Truly love what they do 3/10/2011

The staff at Emerald Coast Animal Hospital is by far the best in the area. I have had dogs all of my adult life and visited many clinics. The clinic itself is clean and modern. The vets at this clinic are professional, compassionate and truly love what they do. The technicians are knowledgeable and professional.I recently had to say goodbye to my beloved Molly. The compassion shown by Dr. Jim Culotta and his staff has earned everyone at the clinic a special place in my heart.Your animals deserve the very best and I assure you, the staff at this clinic will provide your precious "fur babies" the very best care possible. more

Such excellent care 2/9/2011

We moved to Destin, from Chicago, with our two Rottweilers Lily and Edgrr. Our vet in Chicago was the same person who treated Oprah's pets and appears on her show. Our standards were set quite high when it comes to our dogs healthcare. We have received such excellent care from Dr. Culotta and Tovrea (especially recently) that I felt compelled to place a comment here. Dr. Culotta has repaired both of Lilys knees and, after 5+ years, there is no arthritis. In the last two months, Edgrr has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. We opted for chemotherapy and Dr. Tovrea had taken charge. She found the most up to date protocol, described the process and will always take the time to talk to us and ease our fears. Ed is improving with each passing week. I can't thank the doctors and staff at Emerald Animal Hospital enough for taking care of our two dogs. more

Competent, friendly and patient staff 1/14/2011

When looking for a location that took care of pet Bunnies, there are very few that you can actually go to. I had called atleast 6 locations. What I had found were at least 3 locations, 2 in Fortwalton and 1 in Niceville that cared for Rabbits. I chose the Animal Hospital because the staff that I had spoken with on two different occasions when shopping, was competent, friendly, and patient. When comparison shopping the price was only a $30 difference between locations. The service that they gave is very good quality and they were very caring. I schedule all my Rabbit needs there and highly recommend the Animal Hospital. more

Friendly and helpful 1/3/2011

I have been bringing my pets here for 10 years. I find the front desk to be friendly and helpful. They can be very busy in there and I've watched them multi-task with the best of them! The doctors are very nice and want what's best for our pets. Maybe their prices are a little high, but the service I get is worth it. I don't know how anyone can say the don't know their business and the staff is rude. They always seem to know who we are when we walk in the place and are so sweet to my dogs whenever I go in there. I highly recommend this hospital. more

Thank you 12/30/2010

My fiance and I adopted our dog Benny from a local rescue shelter. He unfortunately was diagnosed with a severe case of separation anxiety. He would destroy his kennel and hurt himself badly when we were away with the proper medication from Dr Culotta and the love and support from the members of the Canine Discovery Center. Benny is on his way to a happy healthy life. Attending doggy day care has allowed him to open up and to begin to play with other humans and other dogs. He has gone from never wagging his tail to one of the happiest most playful dog around. Thank you. more

Very professional 12/17/2010

I was on vacation there and my dog got very ill. It was a Saturday and I stopped at this animal hospital. When I walked in at least 30 other people were there.The receptionist- Kim- ( I remember her because my daughters name is Kim) helped me right away. She took my dog and brought her to the Dr right away so the Dr could start helping my dog to breath easier.She assured me the Dr would do everything he could to save my dog. She and the rest of the staff was so friendly and caring.After some tests- the Dr came into the exam room and showed me xrays. My dog had heart problems and was put on medication and is now doing very well.I am so thankful for this hospital and its very professionial staff.They all were very caring. The hospital was the cleanest I have ever been in and Kim was the most caring and kindest Receptionist I have ever come across.The Dr called my Dr and explained my case to him and faxed all of my records to him- was so very nice. I wll forever be grateful to them for saving my dogs life. I highly recommend this hospital!! more
