Touro College

I’ve been studying in Moscow University Touro for four years and I’m surprised that there are a lot of bad reviews. I’ll finish Touro this summer, 2011. As a graduate I want to thank Touro because it gave me great experience in business, good management and special English skills. I don’t see any preferences for individuals - everybody is equaled. Professors don’t give good grades for nothing. Grade system is pretty fair. Comparing to another Russian universities, Touro doesn’t have a bribery practice at all. Administration is pretty supportive for students. Touro has a unique educational system which is not typical for Russian universities. Because of that Touro is interesting place for worldwide foreign companies (Nestle, Kelly Servises, KPMG, PriceWaterHouseCoopers) which very often held Career days, offering huge opportunities to graduates and students. Professors are really qualified people. Everybody knows well their own subject and I can say that I’m finishing this university with clear knowledge. Thanks to teachers attitude towards students, the atmosphere is friendly and without pressure. Because Touro is small University, everybody knows each other. Also Moscow University Touro offers MBA program. It continues for 1-1.5 years I have only positive emotions about Moscow Touro University and I wish to everyone to study in such great university like Touro. =) more

Touro really became a place to teach ESL classes, but they also take students who can't get in any place else. more

I was an English tutor both at this campus and the one on Flatbush. Let me just say that these students are way below average when it comes to reading and writing. Many of them do not know how to write an essay without plagiarizing the whole thing. They don't know how to think analytically or for themselves for that matter. Anytime I would suggest something, they would literally type what I said verbatim into their paper. Touro mostly consists of Jewish students, so you probably wouldn't attend if you weren't Jewish. There are many ESL students at the Flatbush center. Overall, I don't think the education is up to par. The things those students are learning, I learned in junior high. more
