Their unique, reasonably priced clothing are always so special. Their help in coordinating outfits is great. Pros: My grandchildren always stand out!

hippest, cutest clothes for kids 9/3/2009

Always current top designs, staff actually offers service and helpful advice with sizes and styles, and it's a neighborhood friendly store. Plus they have great sales! I never leave empty handed! Pros: unique clothing Cons: my children are grown! but I have nephews! more

i always find unique and stylish clothing for my daughter. The clothes are the best quality, they wash and wear beautifully. My daughter ""to be"" will be inheriting all of her big sisters clothes that still look new. Pros: I've never left empty handed! more

Love, love, love me some Tough Cookies! 7/30/2008

I shop at Tough Cookies for pretty much all my son's clothing and for all our gifts for the ""birthday circuit."" TC has everything from Dr. Suess onesies to one-of-a-kind outfits fashioned from vintage rock T-shirts. I wish the clothes came in my size. The owner, Shannon, is soooo nice and super helpful. She knows how to navigate the mis-matched sizing charts of different brands and she knows how to outfit your kid - head to toe - to be the cutest little hipster in LA County. You gotta check out this store! Pros: hip clothes, parking out back, friendly/helpful staff more

Their baby registry makes it the best 3/10/2008

I've shopped at Tough Cookies a few times for gifts for friends. Then I got pregnant and went in to look for clothes for our coming daughter. There were so many things that I wanted, that I couldn't possibly buy them all. Then Shannon told me about their baby registry - I could make a list of all of the things I wanted and liked, and my friends could buy us items off of the registry. What a great service! My friends and family could buy us things that we truly wanted - and after the shower, I even got a discount on items from my registry that weren't purchased. Shannon is always great about remembering us and knowing our style, so she always shows us clothes that fit us. A great store! Pros: Great service, great selection, great baby registry. more

Great selection, nice service and sweet play area for the kids! 12/26/2007

I popped in to get a few things as a gift and found a great selection of clothes and toys. I bought a couple of adorable tees and awesome puzzles for my three year old, while she played in the kids play area. I love how they constantly get new, fun and darling items in and I always go to Tough Cookies, first, to see all of their new clothing and toy options. Tough Cookies is the best! A great place for fun, special pieces and accessories... 12/21/2007

I live in the Sherman Oaks area and I had driven by Tough Cookies for a few months before stopping in to check it out. I have a one year old, and while most the clothes he wears are gifts from his incredibly generous grandparents, I am always on the lookout for cool gifts for friends' kids, or an extra special shirt or belt for my boy. I love it. No, this is not the boutique from which to stock your child's entire wardrobe. But, Tough Cookies is the perfect place to find those fabulous, not typical, completely cool outfit pieces for babies and children. I picked up a shirt close to Father's Day which read, ""I love Daddy,"" and a fabulous belt for my son's many pairs of jeans. I have gone in repeatedly to get a few shower gifts, and a shirt for my nephew who loves Sesame Street and a onesie for a friend's baby girl. One of the previous reviews said it was for 'hipsters.' I am not a hip mama by any stretch of the imagination (in fact, I think it is one of the only ""boutiques"" I have frequented during my 12 years in LA and that is only because I became a mom recently and really love extra special pieces for my son to wear.) more

Great finds - especially for little boys! 12/21/2007

I received a gift from this store that was so cute, so I had to go check it out. I think the selection is great, especially for little boys. This store provides some really cute and fashionable alternatives to the striped shirt wardrobe I see for little boys - every single season. Tough Cookies has a great selection of accessories - cute socks, skull and crossbones belts and fun sneaker baby shoes that I haven't seen elsewhere. I thought the service was great - not overly pushy but helpful and knowledgable about sizing for the different brands (e.g. which ran small or large.) I highly recommend this store. Pros: selection, unique kids clothes, very fashionable, great service Cons: not a bargain store more

Best Kids Boutique in the Valley 12/21/2007

I have always found great clothes and fun toys for my little one, as well as super cute, unique gifts that go over so well at parties. This store has one-of-a-kind clothes from local designers, so I know I'm not going to see whatever I get on 100 other kids. The owner of the store is extremely knowledgable and will always go out of her way to help. I ordered a gift for a client and when it arrived she was kind enough to bring it by my house during a really busy time for me. That's great customer service, which is almost non-existent these days. I love that there is finally a hip, edgy kid's boutique in the Valley. I can tell you with much honesty that I will never be as cool as this store, but at least my kid will. Happy shopping! Pros: Unique, funky and fun items/uber helpful staff. Cons: Leaves me wanting more. more

Great clothes, better service 11/21/2007

I have to say that I have had only great experiences at Tough Cookies. They have a great selection, and carry a lot of clothes that other stores don't carry. Shannon, the owner, has a great eye for fun, hip clothing and she is tremendously helpful helping to find just the right gift or putting together a super cool outfit.\r \r The shop is not hard to find at all - it's right on the corner of Ventura and Woodman, next to the giant dry cleaners, and there is lots of parking in the back (you can park anywhere in the back down the entire block). I definitely think that anyone who is looking for cool clothes for their kids, unique gifts that will impress your friends and family, or great customer service should check out Tough Cookies! Pros: GREAT service, great selection of clothes in all price ranges more

Still searching..... 10/27/2007

I have been to this baby store a couple of times and each time I have gone for some reason or another, I am never able to find anything that really catches my eye. They do have some cute clothing but nothing that really stands out or says I just have to have it. At best, I would say give Tough Cookies a try but I have definitely been to better babies stores. Cons: Hard to find location, not a lot of parking more
