Respite 3/23/2011

Good: More than 20 years ago I read an appealing Touche ad in the Bolton Common and called to schedule an appointment in Marisa's home salon. She looked at my graying hair and suggested a coloring. I took the plunge and never regretted it! My hair looked thicker and very shiny. I've been a Touche customer ever since. She saw me through hair loss from radiation treatments and even admired my wig! Customers are pampered with coffee, tea, and cookies with classcial music playing quietly in the background :). Bad: An occasional haircut not to my liking, but I trust Marisa and Eileen's talents.. Other: I followed Marisa to her location in Acton and continue to enjoy the relaxing experience of having my hair professionally cut and colored at Touche!. more

a delightful experience 1/7/2011

Marisa was very friendly and did a wonderful job with my color. She clearly had a lot of experience in the industry but was also still very up to date with the latest products and trends. Marisa mentioned that the salon held weekly classes updating the stylists on the most cutting edge techniques and also that the salon switched to an all organic product line recently, which I thought was very proactive and and made me feel as though the salon and its stylist really cared about their trade and putting their best work out there. All in all my experience at touché was extremely delightful, and I will definitely be paying another visit! more

i've been going to marisa for 10 years and have never been disappointed with my hair. even after i moved to the cape i still make the long trip to see her almost every month and it's definably been worth it. i wouldn't trust any one else with my hair, she does an amazing job every time! more

I'm a guy and I had my hair done by Eileen last Saturday. I have to say that I was very pleased. I have tried many other hair salons and haven't been able to find a single hairdresser that could give me the right cut. My search is over, thanks Eileen! more

I come from the Cape to see Marisa 10/20/2010

I've been going to Marisa for a cut and color for over 10 years. I lived near Acton, and this summer moved to the Cape. I'm so crazy about Marisa that I drive the 2 hours to and 2 hours from, not only for her quality attention, but because of the experience -- Degas murals, fresh flowers from her garden, coffee and cookies, and all topped off with great conversation -- some of it with clients in the other chairs. I leave with a fabulous cut, great color, and sense of having had a real experience. more

great hair products and service 8/16/2010

Marissa does a great job on my color. She seems really experienced. Also, i love their new hair product line. I forget what it's called but it's probably the best shampoo and conditioner i've ever used. no tangles and tons of volume (i use the volume shampoo for my thin hair). But im sure the other types, for color treated hair, smoothing, etc.. are great too. The salon itself is very calming, big, spacious, and pretty. more

Elegant short haircuts for me and my family 8/11/2010

Good: I don't ask for fancy stuff. I want simply elegant short haircuts. Both Marissa and Eileen have worked with me over the past 7 years. they are flexible and available. My husband and kids are pleased with their cuts when they visit the salon.. more

less harmful straightening treatment 6/27/2010

i've been chemically straitening my hair for years and it can really take its toll after a while. Marissa introduced me to this new treatment for straightening hair, and it really is less harmful. it's called keratin smoothing treatment and it's actually not that expensive. i think she said it can range from $60 to $100 depending on how much hair you have, etc... compared to other treatments, it was really a bargain, and i can already feel the difference in the texture of my hair--it feels much less damaged. if you chemically straighten your hair on a regular basis you should call Marissa and ask her about it, she always keeps up to date on the newest hair treatments. more

I have been going to Marissa for cuts, and now color, since before she bought Touche. She has never disappointed me and knows just the right color for me. She works hard at making her salon a relaxing and nourishing place- always a treat! I get many compliments about my hair! more

Hairstylist Eileen 6/15/2010

I needed a hair cut and color really bad last week. My hair was wrecked from perming and the color was faded. I called Touche from out of the phone book. I had a dinner to go to that weekend and got an appointment with Eileen. Thank goodness I got her who could layer my long hair and bring my color back to life that afternoon! Quick, reasonable and professional results. I would highly recommend this miracle worker. Thanks to Eileen, I found my new hairdresser. more

looking for a new hair stylist is always nerve-wracking. being new in the area, it wasn't long before several friends recommended the same salon, Touche. From the moment i stepped foot in the salon i felt completely at ease. High ceilings, beautiful murals, fresh flower arrangements, soothing music, tasty refreshments, and an overall positive and calming energy --it's a breath of fresh air. Marisa's many years of experience in up scale salons in Manhattan and on Newburry Street, combined with her European creativity and knowledge of up to date techniques and products make her a hair expert. I was even impressed with her use of a new, environmentally friendly organic line of hair car products. She was warm and confident, and i couldn't be happier with my hair. It was a true beauty experience, I'm hooked, and i wouldn't go anywhere else. more

Good: Someone said that Marisa is a genius. I agree. I've been going to her for close to 10 years, after going to a salon in Lexington. She has a loyal following based on her ability to give great cuts, and superb color matched to skin tones. The salon has a relaxed, European feel with its Degas-motif murals; & always has fresh flowers (many from Marisa's own garden)& wonderful coffee & cookies. The talk is entertaining, & time flies by in the chair.. Bad: Sometimes you have to wait for an appointment because Marisa has so many repeat clients.. Improvements: Can't think of any, but a faster appointment. Tip: Book your next appointment when you're there!. Other: This isn't your run-of-the-mill salon. You'll know it as soon as you enter. I enjoy promoting Marisa's salon because it is so special.. more
