I misplaced Scott's business card and popped online to get his phone number and while there thought I would read the reviews of those that had seen fit to give him a "4 Star" rating. I don't need to waste time on reading the 5 star ratings, MINE is a 5 star rating...they ALL should be 5 star ratings.
So I read with interest how Scott laboriously raised from the dead a pair of riding boots from the dressage Lost and Found and yet another poor soul had the good fortune of having all of his foot and leather wear repaired, resuscitated, and a new lease on life afforded both he and his wardrobe....yet....both of their Norman Rockwellian cobbler anecdotes garnered no more than a 4-star rating for Scott's artisan expertise and craftsmanship.
Scott's fine tuned his art form over 20 years. That's 72% longer than marriages in the US and 81% of uninterrupted time on the same job in the U.
No doubt Beluga Caviar has been returned for tasting fishy. I'm certain some yuppy's BM'r Z-4's leather interior just "smelled too much like a cow", and so and so forth. These are the 4-Star, special needs, impossible to please, thank gawd they are someone else's significant other people--that we adults must take responsibility for folks.
And no, I am not Scott--just a customer. A customer like many of us, who once we found him, said a prayer, told as many friends as possible and keep coming back whenever possible. I live approximately an hour away now and have strayed only once in the last 9+ years and I learned my lesson. So the next time you darken Scott's door....I know you will not have read this, but maybe since I'm thinking this really, REALLY hard--you'll put a dollar in the Margarita Fund jar by the register...........ya' putz.
