wonderfful Italian Pastries and cakes 3/23/2010

These Italian pastries are like the ones from recipes of the earliest Italian bakeries that opened in New York in the 1940's. They are authentic. The fillings are different than found anywhere else. They are creamy and fresh. The textures are wonderful. I travel from Connecticut just to get my pastries, bread and rumballs from Torino. I hope this real Italian tradition goes on and on. Great cakes and espressos! 3/28/2006

Torino's is known for selling you cakes that are made that day, not previously frozen and defrosted. It shows in the quality of the cake. I also like to stop in for a cappuccino or espresso. The taste is more authentic, in my opinion, than one you will get at the drive thru at Dunkin Donuts on upper Broadway. more
