This is a classic Berkeley joint. Been going there for 30 years. Great grilled dogs with excellent fixin's. Sauerkraut, onions, relish, 5 kinds of mustard. You must try all the dogs to determine your own favorite but mine are the Top Dog (all-beef) and the hot link. You have to wait about 7 minutes to get your dogs after you order. But in the meantime you can run across the street to King Pin donuts and pick up some dessert. Ok, this is not healthfood but it sure hits the spot. more

top dog! 4/9/2006

great hot dogs. I've come here a few times and I always enjoyed the food. Service is great, too, as the people serving you are always pretty talkative and interesting. All the hot dogs are made fresh, and you can actually watch your hot dog being grilled to perfection. Prices aren't too bad, especially if you get 2, then it's $2.50 each instead of $2.75. Great for a midnight snack when you're up studying, and it's one of the few places that are open in the wee hours of the night. more

late night hot dogs...sweet... 3/17/2006

If you're up late studying or finising a project, Top Dog is the best place to run to to grab a quick meal. They offer about 10 different kinds of sausages...The only downside is that they're a bit pricey for just a hot dog. If I remember correctly, they're $2.75 each...They're not that great (considering you get get the same sausages from Costco at a much cheaper price), but the service is always wonderful. more
