I have been going to Tookies for 12 years I love their hamburgers but I am usually craving the bombshell, It under the appitizers, it is a fried corn tortilla with melted cheddar cheese, on the side they serve with it jalapenos and picante sauce, spread that on and eat it, I absolutely love this I usually eat 3 of them myself.. Keep up the great work home you stay aroound forever..... Pros: food, atmosphere, location Cons: need more locations, friendlier service more

If you like burgers, you can't go wrong here. Nothing fancy, but quality meat well prepared. All the burgers are good, but my favorite is the one with the chopped bacon cooked into the patty. more

I refuse to come back from Galveston without stopping at Tookies! I am totally addicted to the Bean Burger (Hamburger Patty w/ Refried Bean base, Pace Picante, Cheese and Fritos). Tookies is not pretending to be a classic, they really are. All time best burger place! more

It must've been a really bad day. we lived down the rd in LC and when we got there only 3 tables were full. Service was lousy-we waited forever-first to take the order then to be served. Food was definitely not memorable at least not good. Would not waste my time again and I enjoy a good burger. Oh well, I suppose they have offdays but each time we went (2x). more

This place has been around forever. It's for a reason...their burgers, onion rings, fries, and tostadas are the best around. Consistency of quality is what keeps Tookie's in business. Try the 99 burger (marinated in wine), an order of tostadas, and some onion rings...you will return. more
