Tooele Veterinary Clinic: Roundy Ryan J DVM

Our 11 month old kitten hasn't been able to jump and has hardly been able to walk for the past week. After calling for two days straight, I finally got someone on the phone. The gal had asked if we could come in within the next half hour which I appreciated as it felt like my girl's condition had been getting worse by the day. When we saw Roundy he was roughly handling my girl. She was already in distress as she can no longer perform the activities that she once was able to and is likely in pain at only 11 months old. She's typically pretty shy but never aggressive towards vets. Everything I had mentioned that I thought could be wrong with her, he immediately had a condescending and snarky remark to shoot back at me. He was being so rough with her that she bit him while getting x-rayed and he yelled at her calling her a "little bastard." He then flung her onto the table in our room, she can't use her back legs so she fell off and landed on the floor on her side. He ignored me when I asked for a wet paper towel to wipe her off so we sat there for 10 mins with HIS blood all over her. He commented to the vet assistants that normally people apologize when their animals bite him. To which I retorted that, I am not sorry. We found that she has hip dysplasia in one hip but we do not know which one as he forgot to mark it when performing the x-ray and used the excuse that he forgot because she bit him. I'm not sure what else he would expect with the way he handles animals and his very unsympathetic attitude. Within the first few minutes of meeting him I knew that this was not going to go well. His disposition and rude remarks were a red flag right away. Then with the mishandling of my kitten, I knew that we were never going back there. I do not recommend folks going here with their pets. I've never seen anything like this before in my life. Truly appalling and disheartening. more

Dr. Roundy made a really difficult situation bearable and was very kind and compassionate. I will definitely be going back with our other animals. more

I took my sick cat in and was out in less than 15 minutes and I had to put my cat to sleep because of a lack of care or exploration gave my cat an antibiotic and sent me on my way more

He always let me know how they did and of course instructions. She was the rudest, customer service, i ever dealt with! I love joe, he is not greedy..his prices are way under other vets in salt lake. He is direct and straight up and cared if animals time left..is comfortable. BTW..days later I found the reminder slip in my wallet..I did schedule..she failed to write down in book! If i didn't like Dr roundy..i wouldn't go back. more

The people that writes good reviews to this so called Vet clinic, must be family and good friends. This place has the worst customer service, very rude and uneducated. They just collect your money and they leave your dog over the entire weekend in their crates. I picked my dog up to spend the day with him and he peed and pooped non stop the first five minutes I had him. DONT GO TO THAT PLACE!!! more

Dr Roundy handles euthanasia for pets for the local shelter. He refuses to work with rescues and would rather euthanize an animal, even if there are pledges from the public to save it because he gets paid more that way. He needs to be replaced with a compassionate vet who actually cares for animals. I wouldn't let this sick, greedy man touch any of my pets. more

Roundy is a capable vet, very compassionate for animals but the customer service is a so bad. I went in to have my dog neutered, I came in at 8:00 am as scheduled and the door were locked, the front desk girls were inside blatantly ignoring me. I knocked and a girl came to the door and was VERY rude, saying they don't open until 8:30. I explained I was told 8:00 and she let me know "customers hear what they want to" we verbally argued over literally what time I was supposed to show up in front of other customers who were told to show up at 8:00 as well. The other front desk girl was getting upset at us for not being professional. (I'm the costumer, I don't have to be) but I'm always a pleasant person and this was so unwarranted I was honestly taken back. I let her know I would let Roundy know about the situation and she informed me he would "back her". I put in my complaint with him. I don't know if he followed up with her but I have had other family/friends who have had unpleasant experiences with the front desk and it is to the point I will go elsewhere. more

I have been going to Dr. Roundy for about 8 years now. He is always upfront and truthful with whats going on with your animals. I have never had an issue, he and his team have gone above and beyond any pet i have ever brought there. more

I use to be a vet tech, and this is the worst customer service I have ever seen. I do not know where Dr. Roundy finds his help, but they have no training in the proper way to handle problems or conflicts. I boarded my dog there recently and they lost his crate blanket or worse, gave it to someone else and then pretended they never saw it. This veterinarian expects payment upon services rendered, well; I expect my property returned with my animal or restitution. more

I have only been to Tooele Vet Clinic once, but my experience was very good. We had gotten a dog from the pound. I couldn’t get in to my normal vet, by Dr. Roundy at the Vet Clinic was available. I had heard that Dr. Roundy was good with bigger animals, but decided to chance it. Dr. Roundy was very thorough with his examination of our dog, and actually didn’t even charge us for the visit because the pound was not truthful about the age of the dog. I would definitely visit Dr. Roundy again. more
