My wife and I both ate here last night, 3-18-2009. When you walk in the ambiance is nice enough, quiet and even almost homey feeling. Then you get the menu, that has way too many dishes on it to choose from. But, we ordered the ""fresh"" calamari....might have been fresh, but not lately. The calamari was ok though, for frozen and flash fried. Then we ordered our dinners, which came out at different times as the cook made my wife the wrong dish.
I started while she waited, and took a bite of the chicken...it was so far from fresh it had that reheated three times chicken flavor. But, I pushed it all to the side and continued on.... The ""pink"" sauce looked and tasted like they just strained the Spaghettios out of the sauce and thickened it a bit. Not good, not good at all. It was at this point in the meal that I looked at my wife, and said I was for sure going to be sick the next day.
Her meal finally came out, was supposed to be chicken, fresh artichokes, in the ""pink"" sauce again over angel hair. The only thing fresh on that plate was the boil the noodles saw. She was too scared to try the chicken after my faces, but, I am an old school country boy and had to see if it was just my chicken....NOPE!!! The bite I tried off her plate ended up in the napkin.....WHOA NASTY!!
The bread they serve, however, was the only highpoint of the meal. As we left the ""chef"", or at least the guy dressed up as the ""chef"" was not doing any cooking, but that might have been good or bad.
Oh, and my prediction was half right, I am sick today....Tony's won the bonus round...my wife is also sick!!! Just wish I could write this and not leave any stars. Drive right by this one folks.
