Ok - this place is amazing. I have been going here (on and off) for almost 2 years. I am not one of those ""spend a fortune"" at the salon people. I'm a coupon girl :) That's actually how I ended up here, they had a special almost 2 years from now, new Toni & Guy graduates hair cut for 50% off. \r \r Long story short, I have tried other places to get a better deal and see how it goes- but EVERY time I end up coming back because there's a difference when you get a STYLIST who is good at their job and takes it seriously. Toni and Guy is like this empire brand that is crazy about training and prepping their stylists. To boot they're all happy and excited to help you pick out your color and cut, they really love their job and not snobby.\r \r I leave happy, skipping and smiling every time I go there for cut and for color. Rachel gave me the most amazing cut/style, I barely had to even direct her, she just knew. Today I am walking the street and a girl is staring at me, so I look at her oddly, thinking, ""maybe she knows me?"" She comes over and says, ""I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare. I just really LOVE your hair cut, I want that cut."" Not hair, not color, not style, the actual cut looked that good.\r \r Getting a cut? Go to Rachel\r Getting color? Go to Jessica\r \r Both of these girls are geniuses. It will cost you more than a normal salon, but it is worth it. Hair can change the way you look completely and trust me, you will look amazing. more

Going to Toni & Guy Hoboken, tomorrow afternoon. So excited! Did great highlights with Kelly Yager and haircut couple of months ago and it looked perfect. Now will do something different, but know for sure I will get the best service. I have lived in Hong Kong for 4 years and the only hair salon that could do my hair perfectly, was Toni & Guy. I experienced T&G amazing service for 4 years! Moved to NYC last summer and didn't want to change it. So, went to Hoboken and again - friendly stuff, extremely professional, perfect hair! "" more

Hands down, Toni and Guy is the best hair salon in Hoboken. This is a long review, but I feel worth the read. Please note, I am not affiliated with anyone at Toni and Guy.\r \r I came to Toni and Guy feeling like I was in a hair rut. I wanted a life changing hair cut and that’s what I got. Keep in mind, I entered Toni and Guy telling them how I felt and what I wanted. I complained that I was tired of passing salon after salon in Hoboken full of glamorous looking people (stylists), but not seeing many glamorous looking cuts leaving those salons. I didn’t understand this. \r \r Okay let me get to what Toni and Guy did that was so great:\r \r Time and Attention\r The very talented stylist-Whitney, really took her time to understand exactly what I wanted in a hair cut. She sat me down and gave me a book full of styles. She asked me to put post-it notes on all the styles I liked. After doing this she discussed the pros and cons of each cut for my hair, if I had enough hair for the cut and how much work on my part it would take to maintain the style. I really appreciated that she did this. I can’t remember the last time a hair salon actually gave me a book of styles to go through. In all honesty I felt like my last salon was taking me for granted.\r \r I decided on a style and Whitney took the utmost time and care cutting my hair. No, she did not have two other clients waiting for her while she sped through my cut, a scenario that exists at most salons. In total my cut and style took about an hour and a forty minutes. I have no problem with this because the style was AMAZING!!!\r Finally, someone cut my hair the way I wanted it cut!! For years stylists have said to me, “You can’t put those kinds of layers in your hair because your hair is too texturized and thick…” Well, I was staring at the hair-cut I have always wanted, a style that has eluded me for years. Why hadn’t any of my other stylists ever cut my hair the way I wanted it cut??? Did they just not know how to handle my hair texture? Did they not want to take the time it might take to achieve the hairstyle I wanted because most hair salons in Hoboken just want people moving in and out of the chairs? I don’t know, but Toni and Guy finally gave me what I wanted, one of the best hair cuts of my life.\r \r more

This is an amazing place to get your hair cut. Everyone is extremely friendly and they always have good music and offer you an amazing cappuccino upon arrival! I get my hair cut by Enzo who is an absolute artist. He's the Jimmy page of hair. He really puts so much time and effort into your hair and cares about final results. He will always guide you through the cut and ask if you are happy with it every step of the way. He is also just a very positive and very likable guy! Definitely ask for Enzo when you go. more

I have been going to Toni and Guy since they opened in Hoboken about a year ago and every single experience has been nothing short of fantastic. Upscale, but completely non-pretentious, you are greeted by the nicest employees and offered a yummy cappuccino, coffee or water - while Metric, Muse and Grace Potter play through the speakers (this is NOT your stereotypical NJ Salon!!). As far as the actual talent: I have very fine and very curly hair -- ie a complete nightmare if you don't know what to do with it. Not only does the staff give you an in depth consultation with you prior to each cut, but they have an eye for matching each style to your individual personality. I've had my hair cut by Christina and Rachel and both know EXACTLY what to do with my type of hair -- the cuts were PERFECT! Enzo gave me the best styling tip I've ever had (which I use every single day when doing my hair). As for Color, Kelly is incredible. She is up on all the latest trends and knows exactly how to give you a great natural color, without going overboard. She instantly makes you feel comfortable in her chair, where at this point, I don't even give her direction anymore -- I trust her judgement completely. Go go go!! You are going to love it! more

I got amazing color from Deena and an excellent cut from Bill. I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror, lol. I went with my sis, I got your classic yet modern look by Deena and Bill and my sister, who is miss daring, got this short, sexy, edgy style from Enzo and this hot color by Deena. She looks awesome! I wish I could post pics. This place does it all guys. more

They really listened to what I wanted, but also gave me great advice. The service was impeccable!! Their hair products are amazing and work really well on my hair, which can be hard to manage. Was recommended to give this salon a shot from a friend and boy do I owe her! First things first, I love the design of the space- definitely a step up from the other salons in the area. When I sat with Whitney and Alex to consult my cut and color, they both really listened to what I wanted and gave great input to help achieve a look thats manageable day to day (I despise spending more than 10 minutes trying to keep my do up to par) Whitney was so sweet and definitely has great style. I know this may sound skin deep, but if my hairdresser has good taste, I know Im on the right track of getting a great haircut and not some throwback to a bad 80's movie. Alex, the master technician, made my color look perfect! My color has never looked better. Really pleased with my entire experience. Highly recommend this salon and Im definitely tying the knot! more

I needed someone to fix my hair after a bad haircut at a Tribeca salon. I went across the street and found Peter at Toni and Guy. He gave me a great cut that is growing out wonderfully. He was also very nice and generous about it. Highly recommended. more
