Toms Auto Maintenance Inc

I am a long time customer of Tom's Auto, and have never been steered wrong. It's a good idea to get there early , as they are very busy, but they will make sure the job gets done correctly. The entire staff has a vast mechanical knowledge--I have no problem going to any one of them. One thing that really impresses me about them is that when you have an issue with your vehicle, and you take it there to have it checked out, they don't just tell you what the issue is--they will show you, and explain in detail what needs to be done. They get the job done the right way, and for as long as Tom's Auto is still there, I will continue to take all of my vehicles there. The fact that Tom's has been in business for so many years speaks volumes to me--I would recommend them to anyone! more

On the morning of my kids doctor appointment me and my children and my boyfriend started the car and notice that there was an issue with the water pump. Both me and my boyfriend have work on all our cars and knew it was just the water pump that needed to be changed. So we both talked about it and thought it would be a good idea to take it across the street to Tom?s Automotive. We thought we couldn?t change ourselves we didn?t have the tools so we took it to Tom?s. we have token the car there before and they did a pretty good job in the past. However, when we got the car back, it wasn?t running the same. We decided to take it back and see if they could find out what went wrong. The owner, Tom, came out with his code reader and told us that it was cylinder 6. We thought it was strange when the car was running perfectly fine and it just needed a new water pump. The next thing I know is that these other two mechanics come out and they start doing things under the hood and started to say the car was running fine. However, both me and my boyfriend could hear the car sputtering, something it defiantly wasn?t doing before and plus Tom said that it was something with the 6th cylinder. But they change their story and act like we were stupid. So we took the car to AutoZone to have it read there. They didn?t spit a code, but the car was still sputtering. The next morning we woke up and took the car out. The check engine soon light came on again. So we took it to another person. They said it was the 6th cylinder, so we change it. However the car is still sputtering. It is very upsetting the fact that they took our money and broke our car even more. When we left that day and went home which is right across the street we could hear them laughing. We called the police and nothing could be down they told us we have to sue them. I would never go back to this place and never refer any of my friends. I warn you if you go to this auto place please beware. more
