I don't know where all of these other good reviews are coming from, because I am DONE with Tomato's Pizza!! If I could I would not put any stars!
Our first experience there was really great. My boyfriend and I live in the area, so we decided to try this place out. The prices were great and the food sounded good. The first time we ordered there I had a Chicken Gyro for the first time, it was delicious! So we decided it was our new favorite place.
The second experience was bad. We ordered the food, and the guy was supposed to call me when he got there so I can give him the code to buzz himself in. He called and I could not understand ANYTHING he was saying because his accent was so heavy. So I told my boyfriend to let him up. He refused to show us the receipt after getting the food. Even though we used a four dollars off coupon for a 20"" pizza (which is normally around $28 for the specialty pizza we ordered, not including tax) I ended up being charged $33, with the so called coupon. Which made no sense. Then we ate the pizza and it was AWFUL!!!! The cheese had a horrible after taste, it was not good at all!!!! So from there we decided to only order sandwiches and gyros, and skip the pizza.
Today we ordered from here, as follows: 2 chicken gyros, 1 regular gyro, and an order of breaded zucchini. We made the call at 5:37 PM. At 6:15 PM I get a call from the delivery guy asking if I had ordered a pizza, and said that he was down stairs. I repeated my order to him, to which he said that it would be another 15 to 20 minutes. Ten minutes later we call Tomato's to find out what's going on, to which the man on the line said that the computers were down and they were running behind on orders. He also mentioned that he just put our order in now, and that again, it would be there in 15-20 minutes. My boyfriend told him that we weren't happy with any of this, so he asked the guy to throw in a 2 liter of Sprite, He agrees. At around 6:50 the delivery man finally shows up with our food and a hand written receipt that he intended to keep. He wanted us to write my credit card number on the back so they could charge us later. He expected me to go without a receipt again, and give him my credit card number. We decide instead to call the restaurant and give them the number. AFTER ALL OF THAT FUSS, we get our food and it's all AWFUL!!! The two chicken Gyros were filled with DRY chicken, and the Gyros had all been sitting around so long that the sauce liquified!!! Not to mention that HE BROUGHT US THE WRONG SODA! The zucchini was wet and floppy, the sauce had been sitting in the container so long that the plastic container melted! I called Tomato's and told them not to charge me because this was SO horrible. He claimed that he was never going to charge me for it in the first place (why take down my credit card information if it was going to be on the house????)
SUMMARY: I understand that things happen, computers don't work, but the least they could have done was call and tell me all of this right away! Also up until the last call I made to them I never once heard a legitimate apology. If the food was going to take long anyways wouldn't you want to make sure that it's good???? Needless to say we are NEVER ordering from there again, neither should anyone else! They have very poor customer service and they really don't seem to care.
