Finally there is a good Thai food restaurant in Princeton. I dined at Tom Yum Goong twice in the past month. Both times everyone in my party was delighted by the food and the service. We ordered Tom Yum Seafood instead of the traditional Tom Yum Goong. It tastes just like Tom Yum Goong, but with squid and mussles in addition to the prawn you usually get in Tom Yum soup. I figure it was a better deal if you like seafood. Comparing to the Thai food I was more used to in San Francisco, I still desired a bit more flavor in the taste. But nevertheless, it was so much better than the other Thai food restaurant nearby in Princeton. The green papaya salad was also very good. We also tried the Sea Firehouse on the Chef's recommended list. It was pretty good, though I didn't see any steamed mussels that's stated in the menu description. The green curry chicken is also very good. The sauce is thicker than what you get from most other Thai food restaurants, but I loved it. It was very very good. The service was attentive and polite. The plates and place settings are of high quality which gives you an upper scale feeling. The decoration was warm and clean. I definately will dine there often. Oh, as a bonus, it's BYOB, at least for now.
