Our basement crawl space was leaking. The brick patio and backyard close to the house was sinking (and therefore sloping towards the house), which we identified as the most likely cause of the leak. (We had several experts come to our house, who all identified the backyard slope and lack of drain as most likely causing the leak.) Tom reset the brick patio. This included intalling heavy plastic tarring to the rear wall of our foundation and then resetting the brick patio, sloping it away from the house and installing a new drain in the patio for rainwater.\r

The job went great. Tom was on time and on budget for the work. His crew was very neat and extremely conscientious. A few weeks after the work was completed there was a heavy rainfall. This caused some leaking in the crawl space. I called Tom and he offered to come out the next day. The patio was definitely fixed, so we had to figure out what else could be contributing to the leak. Tom caulked around our back door, patched cracked stucco on our wall and added caulking to where the crawl space met the door. This was additional work. I offered to pay him and he refused. He said he wanted this to work for me. The patio work was done right. He then did this additional work for which he didn't charge. That is someone who has pride in their work and goes the extra mile to do things right. It's rare to find this in a contractor these days. I would definitely use him again for any masonry work, and I highly recommend him.
