going downhill 9/26/2005

Tokyo Lobby used to be extremely popular, large with a nicely dimmed traditional Japanese setting and friendly service. The menu offers a wide variety of Japanese dishes, and the prices WERE decent before food quality totally went downhill. It's best to stick with fully cooked dishes simply because the health rating, a "C" last time I checked, is abysmal for a restaurant that sells raw fish. more

Nice atmosphere 9/17/2005

I think this place's selling point is its decorations and the atmosphere that it gives the customers. It's a great place if you want to relax and hang around. Unlike other Asian dining places, this place is quite and soothing. THe food is very traditional, which is not a bad thing. more

Used to be good. . . 9/9/2005

My family and I used to go to Tokyo Lobby all the time when we lived in the area. I recently went back with my co-workers and found that the previous quality of the restaurant itself, the staff, and the food had gone down significantly. The place kinda smells (the carpet probably needs to be changed), the meat is half fat, and we waited atleast 20 minutes extra because the waiter forgot about us. I now tell people not to go here. Their only redeeming quality is the cheap prices. more

Sushi and Teriyaki 9/1/2005

Growing up, this was the place to get both sushi and japanese fast food. This used to be a really popular high school place because the portions are huge and they have all types of combination plates. the ambience is very casual but the quality of the food from what i can remember was pretty good. more

Good prices! 8/10/2005

Personally, I’m not a big raw sushi lover, so coming from this perspective I think this restaurant is excellent. The quality of the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are pretty generous as well. This place becomes very packed on the weekends, so come earlier or expect a wait. more
