My fiance and I were looking for a new sushi restaurant since Shiki went downhill (overcrowded, too commercialized, the feel of a sports bar) and we've found it! We were a bit hesitant since the outside ambiance needs work, but read only good reviews and decided to give it a try. The sushi menu is loaded with adventurous and unique rolls, while still having a good share of classics. They are buy-one-get-one-free and we were very pleased to see that they were all big and meaty. Even the ones with the pricier ingredients were loaded. The presentation was excellent and every roll we received tasted fantastic. Our favorites were the Angry Dragon and Obama Roll. We got four of the more expensive rolls, an appetizer, and two beers for around $40. Also, the service we received was great. Of note, if you've been to this place back when it was China One, you probably won't even recognize it once you step inside as they have done a great job remodeling and redecorating. We highly recommend you look past the exterior and check Tokyo Fun out! We will definitely be going back.
Pros: Best quality sushi in Durham, Great service, nice inside decor, decent beer selection
Cons: Very uninviting exterior, no complementary edamame like Akashi
