Todd's Automotive Repair & Service

I have twice taking my car to Todd to address issues with the car making sounds that were not normal. The first time, Todd spent 30 minutes investigating what was causing an odd noise that could only be heard inside the car (not outside of it). After jacking the car up, Todd said it was the muffler that was vibrating against the car frame. He quickly fixed the issue Cost of Todd finding the problem and then quickly fixing it? $0.00 The second time the car was taken in, it was making a weird noise like the car's belt's were slipping. Todd quickly jacked the car up and looked underneath and noticed the power steering brake hose was leaking very small traces of power steering fluid. He then filled up the power steering resevoir to its recommended level. Todd said the very tiny leak could be fixed by replacing a power steering hose, but said since the leak was very minor and due to the fact that I was planning to sell the car in short time frame, I should pay close attention to it and see if it gets worse. Cost of analyzing the issue? $0.00. Todd is very honest and will tell you straight up if you need something or not. He doesn't pressure you into getting repairs like the other shops do. And when he does make a repair, the price is fair and honest. Do yourself a favor and make Todd your primary mechanic. He's one of the few remaining mechanics that won't nickel and dime you for repairs and when repairs are made, he does it right the first time. more

Todd is one of the nicest most trustworthy guys I have met. He helped me with my 02 suburban and went above and beyond to find the most economical way to repair my vehicle. I would recommend Todd to anyone in need of auto repair work! more

Stopped in at Todd's Automotive last Friday to have a couple of items checked on my VW beetle. I have to say that this is the best automotive repair shop I've ever had the fortune to find. The owner, Todd, is a remarkably friendly and professional person. A car repair genius. They fix your car right, fix it fast and don't take your children's college fund in the doing. Todd is the most honest auto repair guy I have come across. He gives great advice, has fantastic prices and stands behind his work. We have to drive 20 minutes to get there but I would drive 40 if I had to. more

Unbelievable to find such an honest mechanic. Todd is great at what he does and very willing to accommodate you to get the work done when you need it. We first took our truck to him for work on the clutch - we will never go anywhere else! From oil changes to the big stuff - Todd's is the only place we will be taking all our vehicles. I use my vehicle in my job. I must have my truck or my work does not get done. If the work is not done, I lose my contract. I took my truck to Todd when the front wheel bearings went out. He started working on my truck as soon as I arrived. He also replaced the rotors and the brake pads. He spent over an HOUR working to shape the spindle so the bearings would fit. He could have just told me that I had to buy a new spindle. Todd is not like that. He will do whatever he can to make things work. Not only that, but Grace, Todd's wife, went looking for a special tool that was needed to renew the threads on the spindle. SHE WENT TO 8 PLACES before she found what was needed! That is going above and beyond! The price was right and the work was excellent. Todd, Grace, and Jeremy are special. They truly understand service. They serve us with their service. I cannot give a higher recommedation than Todd's Automotive! Pros: Got right on job, went above and beyond the expected. Cons: None more

to help a single mom out with my suv that wouldnt start. After getting my car pushed into his shop, he stopped what he was doing to help me. Found the problem quickly, (no good battery) replaced it fast, and at a fair price. When I got home (walking distance) the car wouldnt start again. Todd walked to my house to help me again, found the problem, and fixed it FREE. I also brought my vehicle to him for an estimate on AC repair, Todd gave my the cheapest estimate on labor. He has a client for life, including my mom now! Todd is the hero of the day!!!! Pros: Dropped what he was doing more

As a lawyer and doctor, my husband and I are very skeptical when it comes to auto repair professionals. Before finding Todd’s Automotive, our experience was that all auto repair shops were incompetent and only looking to make as much money as possible off of us. Todd’s Automotive is so very different. Not only is Todd thorough and conscientious, he has impressive diagnostic skills which have made all our vehicle repairs affordable and quick. Todd has even suggested that we not make certain repairs that we had previously been told by another shop were necessary. I am about to have a new baby and Todd recently performed a safety inspection of our vehicles. He went above and beyond to make sure that we are safe on the road and really made us feel like family. Todd is a real find in his industry and the only place we will take our vehicles from now on. We even drive from North Austin all the way to his shop because we trust him that much! more

I recently stopped into this new automotive shop - the bright yellow building & signs initially caught my attention. I needed an oil change & they were so friendly & able to do the work quickly. My oil change experiences in the past have been frustrating, in that the mechanics keep coming up with additional "things" that need to be fixed, changed or purchased for my car. I end up spending more than anticipated or just feeling like I am being taking advantage of. Todd's Automotive just did what I asked & did not try to scare me or sell me anything more than I wanted or needed! This is honest service. I trust this company and will be back when I need to have maintenance & repairs done to my vehicle! more
