If you always wanted to dine like the beautiful and young do, without the expense of your kids Harvard education, then run, not walk to Figs!
You have to love Charlestown. It has cozy cobblestone street and gas lanterns. Yes, believe me, they really are original gas lanterns. Even in the energy crisis!
The food is amazing here. You can have lunch, brunch or dinner. If you go for dinner, be ready to eat with your food in your lap and to sample up the famous and wonderful pizzas. The pizzas come in the most unimaginable combos and all equally delight and fulfill all who sample the spoils they offer. Todd English pours more into Figs than Olives, in this locals' opinion.
Reservations are not taken, but who cares. Sit outside on the bench and wait for a little table to free up on a summer evening. There is also two hour parking in front if you drive, instead of taking the T to Community College or North End.
You will not be disappointed!
