Best

If you're more of the ""quantity vs. quality"" type, you'll enjoy this place. Todai has plenty of selection when it comes to both sushi and hot entrees (tempura, teriyaki, etc......

Worst

Wasn't the best place for seafood but you get it in bulk. All you can eat style but the prices make it not worth it. Not that fresh here.

Todai in San Diego: All you can eat sushi! 8/4/2006

If you love sushi and typically spend more than $15 then this is your place. Around $15 for lunch and $25 for dinner you can get all you can eat sushi, udon noodles, stir fry, and anything asian you can think of. My husband and I have eaten Todai in Chicago, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and California. Hawaii is hands down the best. Although in Hawaii, everywhere was great sushi. Come prepared to wait in line, everyplace we have been to the Todai had at least an hour wait. It is usually in or around a mall, so be prepared to kill some time more

not as good as some of the others in the chain 4/16/2006

I'm from the bay area so I have been to a couple of other todais. While this place is okay, it is not as good as some of the others I've been to. That being said, if I had never been to another, I probably would think this place is pretty good. It's a sushi seafood buffet. There are a lot of sushi rolls, some cooked dishes, an udon station and dessert. The desserts are cute but I don't think they taste that great as compared to some of the other chains. There is a lot of variety though and if you want to get your money's worth and are interested in japanese food this might be a good place to go. more

Great Buffet 8/19/2005

This restaurant features three rooms with three different types of buffet. One room has various types of sushi and seafood, all you can eat. The second room features various hot stir frys. The third room features various Asian desserts. The price is great for the food. The atmosphere is nice. The selection is awesome. Make sure you go hungry. more

Todai is a good buffet 8/17/2005

Todai is a really nice family place or just a place to eat by yourself. You can eat all you want of this good food. The sushi is not bad at all. The other food such as the noodles and rice and other chinese type foods is good too. There is a pretty large variety of dessert as well. Everything is very tasty. You can even get a free meal on your birthday. more
