If you love high-end pizza and hard to find beers, this place is like heaven! Seriously, the pizza is truly unmatched. You're not going to find anything like this at the local Italian joint. The crust was perfect. Crisp on the outside, fluffy like pastry on the inside. Real brick oven pizza, cooked by people that obviously know what they're doing. Not greasy, just purely awesome. And the beer selection? It goes on and on. It would take months to try them all, something I just might attempt.\r \r Bremerton's best pizza. Keep up the good work! Pros: Probably the best pizza I've ever had. HUGE beer selection. Cons: Too small. Hard to get a table on the weekend. Only one bathroom. more

Wow, am I going to the same restaurant as the rest of the reviewers? We are talking about the hole in the wall next to Safeway, right? Anyway, the pizza is fantastic, the beer selection is above average. However the customer service is horrible. I thought it was a one time thing, but I have been back twice since, I have never had to wait for a seat and the most packed at the time I was there was 4 other customers. Yet service was slow, taking at least 15 minutes (on the best night) before even being acknowledged. You may say, why go back, well, it is usually a pulling teeth thing, friends want to go, and they have to pull my teeth. I probably will never go back. I would rather have good pizza and great service than fantastic pizza and horrible service. There is a balance and this place does not have it. Stay away cause you will be disappointed. Head down the street a few blocks and just get a CloverLeaf pizza, and you will have alot more fun as well. Pros: Pizza Cons: Service, Service, Service, and if I can say it again, Service! more

I was wary of The Toad House at first....It's in a strip mall, not a normal place for a pub. Some of the staff are alternative-looking, to say the least. And, there's no bar to belly up to, well, no stools at the bar, anyway.\r Once inside, the strip mall disappears: the interior is transformed...they even made the acoustical ceiling look like wood. Very cozy and pub-ish, I would say. The staff are really friendly and attentive, despite their punk flavor. \r The food is somewhat creative and quite tasty: I recommend the Toad Pie if you can handle Goat cheese. \r The beer and wine selection is probably the best in the county. \r As for the lack of bar stools, well, that's why I give them four out of five stars--not very comfortable for a solo patron. I live fairly close, so the Toad house has become a ""treat"" for myself and family. The menu is DIFFERENT. It's not typical/boring. The ""pub food"" theme is wonderfully different from a typical pizza joint, or generic ""bar food."" The pizza options are wonderful (ie Goat Cheese, which I had NEVER tried before, and now LOVE). The beer selection is great for such a small establishment, catering to micro-brews, and unknown beers. The wait staff is VERY friendly, VERY efficient, and extremely responsive to the customers. Occasionally I take my wife there for quiet discussions over a beer, or I take one of my teenagers as a treat for doing particularly well on a school project. This place is ""off the beaten path"" of the corporate restaurant. If you've got hang-ups or predjudices about tattoos or body piercings, then definitely stay away. This is a place for people to be comfortable, not someplace to be stuck up, and condescending. more

The first impession upon entering was...... alright this doesn't look like it belong's in a strip mall. It was cozy and comfortable, subdied lighting in area's and nicely lit in others. Somewhere between european and latin america. Tables large enough to pile the food on with plenty of elbow room. Plus with the stand and spatula they put the your pizza on you have even more room. The beer selection is phenominal...many local and international brew's. They also have a extensive wine list but did'nt have time while reading the informative beer menu. I have eaten at this place a few times, and the even though the food has been great, i find that the staff is very unprofessional. Each time i have gone, there is no type of uniform. and they have employees wearing shorts (more like jeans bought to short), chains haning from there pockets, piercings and tatoos all over. My wife always feels like if she leaves her purse while going to the restroom then she might get robbed. I myself work at a restaurant and know that a customer shouldnt get that impression. When it comes to the food, i have to say that its wonderful. i just think that the owners need to inforce a better dress code, and there employees overall apperance. The Toad House is a wonderful place to eat and relax. There is no pressure to eat and run. You may stay and watch the big screen TV, have a few more beers or iced tea and hang out. And, you'll want to. This place is very comfortable, enchanting, actually. You walk in and the decor wins you over. You would never know there are other stores nearby. The owners, Marcus and Andee, are wonderful people; very warm and friendly. They designed and decorated the place themselves! And, their talent extends well beyond decor. Their recipes are mouth-watering. They've found just the right ingredient combination for their pizza sauce and their signature Toad Pie is different and very flavorful. If you're like me and like to enjoy your beer or an iced tea or two, this place is for you. Sit down, relax, eat and enjoy! I can't speak highly enough of the Toad House.
