I took my 2008 Ford Focus to Tires Plus on a Sunday. The two previous days, my car started over heating. Figured my thermostat was sticking. I'm not an idiot with cars, and when working on repairs, you always evaluate the cheapest fix first, THEN work your way up. \r

I took the car and paid the 26 dollars for the Cooling System Pressure Test. 2 Hours later, I'm told "Well, I can tell you what your major problem is, your radiator is blocked"\r

"Blocked?" I asked?\r

"Yes, there is no coolant that can be flushed through, so you'll need a new radiator. We can do that for you for $600 dollars"\r

"Woah, Little weird that a radiator cant be flushed OR that a 5 year old car has this big of an issue? So it's not the thermostat then?" I asked\r

"No, Its not your thermostat, but we recommend you change it with this procedure. We can do that for you for $271 Dollars"\r

Said thanks, but no thanks, and left. took it to CMC Auto in sanford. Tada! What was the problem? The THERMOSTAT
