I went there to have my brakes and oil changed. I told then that I wasn’t in a hurry (I was taking the bus to work that day), so the service took all day and I got my car back at around 6:30 pm in the evening. This was just before Thanksgiving, so at 6:30 pm it was already dark and I just drove the car across the street to my apartment and everything seemed fine. The next day I was driving south for Thanksgiving and so I took the I-75, but as soon as I got there and started accelerating, at around 50mph I immediately noticed that something was wrong with the hood. It was shaking in a very strange way, and after a couple of minutes I realized what was happening: they had left the front hood open (it was in that intermediate position, held only by a small metal hook), and it was a miracle that it hadn’t completely opened once I accelerated on the Interstate. I had to stop on the I-75 shoulder, and because it was Thanksgiving there was a lot of traffic and this was obviously a very dangerous maneuver. Once I stopped, closed the hood and was back driving, I called them to complain and asked to speak with the store manager. I explained the situation and what had just happened and he told me: “I am very sorry sir, but these things happen” and he hung up the phone… He was very unprofessional and never even asked me my name or what car this had just happened to. Like he said, these things seem to “happen” a lot in that shop so he didn’t even bother finding out which mechanic had actually serviced my car and had left the hood open.
My final opinion on that shop in not that their service is necessarily BAD, my opinion is that their service is DANGEROUS and UNPROFESSIONAL and should obviously be avoided.
