Brandy is a bright spot. Sometimes Randy the Technician and especially George the Store Manager pose problems. George the Technician is decent.\r

TWOW is pretty good for tire price and selection.\r

Here are the problems. Whenever I bring my car in for something basic like an oil change or rotation, they find multiple apparently unnecessary things wrong with it that they feel they must fix such as pads and rotors, drums and shoes, sliders, calipers, brake lines, exhaust, suspension, tires. In the past, they have held the car on the lift and made me wait more than two hours, for what was supposed to only be a rotation, to tell me what expensive “problems” they found. Once a 3+ hour wait caused me to miss an important personal commitment, despite my making my 2.0 hour time constraint clear both when I made the appointment and when I brought the car in. Two hours is more than enough time for a rotation, especially when I had an appointment. It seems a “free” tire rotation is just an occasion to generate business. I’ve seen disreputable shops do similarly with State Inspections; they think they’ll lose money, unless they can find something wrong, and so they make sure they do. I guess they don’t realize that loss of customer loyalty is measured in $1000’s. The two times I took the car for a second opinion somewhere else, the supposed problems are not found. Twice Tire World told me an up front price verbally, which I confirmed both times, and then presented me a bill higher than promised. I’m not referring to something understandable, like a frozen part that needed to be cut or something else legitimate found during the repair process. This is $350 for the part, and on the bill it shows up as $60 more.\r

I distrust this garage. I just wish I could get tires and have them leave the rest of my car alone.
