I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the great staff at Tire City. My wife and I were headed out for a mini-vacation and we developed a flat tire as we were in Hartford. AAA guided us to your facility. The staff was attentive, professional, and very efficient. We were on the road again in a very short time. My wife and I are both appreciative of your efforts and service. We are small business owners as well in Central NY and we also pride ourselves on quality and top notch customer service. I've had three separate points of contact with this store over the course of a week - once in person, and twice on the phone.\r \r F A N T A S T I C  Customer Service!!!  In fact, I think their customer service is outstanding.\r \r After talking with them on the phone, I did extensive research on the web before making my decision on what tires to buy. I called the shop again a few days later to check on the availability of my selection, I learned that the tire has been very popular since it came out last autumn and the manufacturer had not anticipated the tire's popularity; therefore, it was unknown when they would become available in my size.  Still driving on my summer tires, I wanted new winter tires n o w. I'd already invested in a good amount of time researching, and felt like I was back to square one.  \r \r However, I told Michael I had looked at Michelins, but my reason for avoiding Michelins (their relatively high cost), he shared with me that he'd recently installed a set of them on his brother's car and he's really pleased with them.  He even took things one step further and made me an offer on a set of Michelins I couldn't refuse (since my first choice simply wasn't available).  He was able to do that, I suppose, since he's the owner.\r \r I was in and out within 45 minutes on a Friday afternoon.  They placed each of my summer tires in a plastic bag and loaded them into my car and replaced the locking lug back in the spare tire compartment where it belongs.  They provided me with proper tire inflation information for future reference and invited me to return for free pressure checks and tire rotations.\r \r I had the pleasure of driving away very confident with my purchase. more

Will never recommend Tire City in East Hartford. To make a long story short....did not have the best price for tires, manger would not honor Town Fair Tires minimal difference, cocky attitude and poor customer service from front desk, would not give me my money back before tires were put on, no longer felt comfortable to have them near my car, they put on my tires(I drove away not feeling comfortable about the job that was done), slow day so some workers stood around and acted obnoxious and stupid especially upon my driving away(especially tall guy), I will make sure everyone knows that I will never recommend them and they were not the best deal. Owner needs to take business and customer service 101 and teach it to the staff. I will make many people aware, including those that recommended Tire City. more

Best prices in town (trust me I shopped around). Extremely courteous and professional, especially the owner Michael and front desk guy Chris. They helped me out a lot. more

Went there today with a nail in my tire. I have never been a customer at Tire city before but one of the staff members with a baseball cap on and tattoos on his arm came out to my car and grabbed the flat tire out of my trunk then after he plugged it put it back on my car, aired up the spare tire and put it back perfect and checked the rest of the air. As he was checking the air he was inspecting my tires and asked me when the last time i rotated them was? It was something that had completely slipped my mind but i knew it was time. So next minute i know he's jacking up my car and rotating my tires. I expected to pay a hefty fee for all of this service but when he was all done he even hand torqued my wheels unlike the last place I went too where I could not wrench of the wheels for the life of me. He hand torqued them to my vehicles specifications and told me i was good to go.. i looked at him shocked because he told me that all this service he did was free. GREAT PLACE i am going to be more

The shop is very clean, and they are more interested in what you want than what some places want to sell you. It's all about the customer, from the second you walk in till you leave you feel great about your purchase. I will be recommending this shop to all of my family and friends. more

I went down to Tire City on Friday because i needed some new tires. When i approached the sales counter i was immediately greeted by a very tall polite man who was very helpful in choosing the right tires for my car. I do not know to much about tires but he was very knowledgeable about several different brands of tires and was not trying to force me into TOYO tires like the other guys down the road. The total job took about 45 Min and they let me know and showed me that i had a bend in one of my wheels. The pit crew there was also very helpful and knowledgeable.. IM GOING TO SEND EVERYONE I KNOW TO THIS PLACE GREAT JOB KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK more

I have called all of their competitors over the years and none compare. Michael is as great to his employees as he is his customers. They are quick and dependable and always give me the best price. I'm so glad I found them! more

Bought 2 sets of wheels from these guys, Best prices around and i went to New York to compare some prices and installed price wise no one can touch these guys. Mike was amazing when it came to choosing the right wheels for my car. Thanks a lot Tire City!!!!!!! more

Brought my car here after another tire store tried to screw me. The staff at Tire City are honest. There were no sales gimmicks. Very pleased with service and prices - will certainly shop here again and happily recommend to others! more

STAY AWAY! a year ago i bought 4 brand new tires for my car... a year later I came back bc my year old tires were bald as hell! I was told that the tires they put on where 70,000 miles. I only got around 13000 miles out of them. then they argued with me that it was not their fault i didnt get the mileage. They sold me a crappy tire and would do nothing for me even though i just spent over 400 on the set a year ago. There warantees mean NOTHING! more

I strongly reccommend that people stay clear of this place as much as possible. I heard bout how this place had really good prices. . as i was waiting in line i was looking around the shop, where i saw this smaller kid grabbing another persons private area andgiggling and laughing. Distracted the workers that would be working on my car if i was to get my tires there. disgusted i looked back at the guy at the counter and tried to get that image out of my head. needless to say I pretty much ran screaming out of that place bc i was so upset by what i saw. So unprofessional and the fact that the owner was stopping the rude acts going on in the shop was just not the kind of thins i wanna see. Nothing but games and workers barely paying attention to what they are doing. i wouldnt trust my car around those kinds of people more

I went in too tire city for my free tire rotation. I purchased mt tires from them. Before going into there store I stoped a cross the street and got something to drink and a scratch ticket. I did not put my change in my pocket I brought it out to my car with my soda and put the change in the compartment under the radio. We are talking about 13 dollars here not a lot of money. I drove across the street and did not make any stops along the way parked my car got out locked it and went in side. I handed my keys to the tall kid behind the counter. I think his name is michael. and asked for a tire rotation witch I have had done in the past. He said it would take them about 30 min witch was fine with me. It took them a little over an hour to complete the rotation but I had nothing else to do with it being my day off from work. So no harm done there ""right"" . So I had my keys back in my hand and went to my car to leave still happy with Tire City up untill this point I always tip for work done car wash oil change rotations flat repairs all the small little stuff. I went to reach under my radio to grab the money I left there and it was gone. I scrached my head for a second and checked my pokets and thought about where I put the money. I always throw my small change under the radio. I am 100% positive that i put it there. So I go back inside to Tire City to talk to the tall guy that I handed my keys to and handed my keys back to me. I told him we have a small problum that there was a couple dollars missing out of my car. He asked me a few questions like are you sure. You did not miss place it some where else did you. I told him how I stopped at the gas station across the street first and was positive about how much money was in there, and where I put It. He started to make sarcastic coments ""are u positive u did not miss place it"". For the owner of the company and all future customers yes I am positve that one of your guys stoll from my car not a lot of money 13 dollars to be exact. I am not broke my car is newer and my house is paid for I do not need the 13 dollars actually I was going to give part of it as a tip anyways. But for something to be taken from my car and then have a young kid laugh in my face about like it is funny and not a serious matter that one of your employees is steeling from customers cars is not a matter to be sarcastic about. Tire City used to be a good place to go to.(not any more) There employees faces are changing and I do not see the guys that used to be there any more that gave me good service. There has to be a better place around. I know I am willing to pay a little more for better results. more

I know it sounds like a commercial but I cant say enough about Tire City on Silver Lane. Some of the bad reviews, must have gone to another tire shop. Honest fast service is all I could see. Went well out of their way for me! Highly recommended.? more

I put on 4 new tires at a tire repair shop in Hartford, and was looking for a shop that could do my alignment. I found Tire City and decided to give it a shot. What a place! Right as I drove into the parking lot, there was already a staff member inspecting my wheels even before I got out of the vehicle. I later found out that if I had come to tire city for my wheels, I would have saved over $150 dollars INCLUDING BALANCING AND ALIGNMENT! Their prices are as low as they get and service was very fast and professional. On a side note, they do seem to be out of practice with manual transmission ;) more

I have had excellent service with Tire City. Have gone there twice to have tires replaced. They provide extremely fast service and both times I was in and out with 2 tires changed each time within 20 min. Didn't even have a reservation either time. Their prices are very good too. Much better service than the Pep Boys over in Manchester. more

I brought my car in for an alignment. The service was performed perfectly best alignment the car has ever had. The people were friendly and very helpful. The waiting room was clean. I would highly recommend Tire City to a friend and others looking for similar automotive service. more
