Pleasantly surprised w/ great service & a competitive price 1/10/2011

While searching for a tire for my Trans-am WS6 (Really wide tires), I called multiple tire stores from Bay Farm to Oakland. After having read a few bad reviews, I was already a bit apprehensive about giving them a call but I decided to give em' a shot. Granted, I have worked on many different types of cars, old an new, so I'm pretty competent when it comes to cars. I called asking for a single tire knowing the size and speed rating that i needed to match my remaining 3 tires, and after going over a few specifics (pertaining to my cars model) we discussed the various tires that were within my spending range. After informing me that he didn't have the tire on hand that we agreed upon, he located one and had it shipped and scheduled an appt within 2 days of calling. Once I arrived the work was performed promptly and pricing was quite competitive (same type of tire at a few different stores was +$40) and I had a great experience in spite of bad reviews...... more

""mo"" canicks. poor quality repairs, threatend a life 9/8/2006

I've been screwed over on rynck tire and auto center in pleasanton 3 times the first time i had a check engine light on. took them a week and a half to ""fix"" it. they messed it up more. the tail lights wouldnt go off no matter what you did and the ignigtion ""had an unidenifyed problem"" They also put breaks on it rotors and pads. if your foot brushed up agianst the pedal it would result in a sudden tire lock up. full on skid. We had the check engine light fixed somewhere else. brought it back so that they could do the breaks and an anlignment on it. the breaks worked but they conviently forgot to do the alignment..... so we brought it back a third time evrything appeared to be right. till today we had a nail in the back right tire...... the mechanic over there said look your front tire is about to come off! he pushed on the tire and it wobbled back and forth.... 3 studs striped... not on the lug nut part but in the actull hub... the owener of the tire shop comes out to take a look himself and said ""that could have seriously injured you"" brought truck back today... they have messed up 3 out of 3 times know this will be 4 times and we shall be inspecting and will do our best to find any mistakes. dont recomend them. had a friend who had a dodge truck they went to lower it and forgot to bolt up the upper a arm. broke the hanger.. ruind the truck. dont recomend theis people they hire ""mo"" canics. if you want your stuff done right dont go here! save your vehicles and most inportantly protect your life. Cons: poor quality more

Great shop, at least for this Porsche owner. 6/25/2006

For me this is my only place to go now. I first met them when buying new high end tires for my Carrera. Normally these tires have a week backorder and would cost $1200 to $1400 for all four. I got them from Rynck two days after ordering and for just under $1000 with tax. Also my car from the dealership costs me $500 for an oil change. With Rynck they only charge me $40 for the service plus cost of the oil. I am even allowed to buy the oil myself and just have them do the service. Most shops do not give the customer this great of service and this level of freedom in materials choice. Pros: Convenient location, near food services, friendly reps Cons: high end parts not always in store. This is to be expected but fits in the cons. more
