We had a leak develop after Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Since then we had 5 different roofing companies come out and basically slap tar and mastic wherever they though the problem was. Each time, the patch would last a few months only to have the leak rear its ulgy head once again.
Fortunately, we found Tip Top Roofing through the Better Business Bureau. Lon came out and surveyed the roof and took the time to explain and show me where the shingles were lifting up from age, holes in the plywood from where the nails had popped out. He recommended that the old roof and flashing be stripped off and everything replaced. I agreed as this was the only way to get the job done right.
His workers arrived the next day. Every bit of debris was removed and there wasn't a trace that anyone had done work on the property other than the fact that the roof over our den was new. I was also impressed when I heard them working that no nail guns were used which I know is the ONLY way to be sure that every nail was properly placed. They installed all new heavyweight felt, tincaps were properly placed, and a newer and more sleek design ridge vent replaced the old, bent aluninum one.
I'm not quite sure what problem Shannyp had, but we were completely impressed by Lon's professionalism as well as the fact that the job was finally done the way it should have been done years ago. Our experience was quite the opposite from Shannyp.
We have no reservations in recommending Tip Top Roofing for any repairs no matter how small or large. It is easily understood why they have a top rating with the Better Business Bureau of Ft. Lauderdale.
