Fed Up with Time Warner 2/3/2009

Switched from basic cable to digital in May 2008 so we would have on demand channels. The digital boxes that Time Warner gave us suck! We have had nothing but problems loading programs and with the remote even responding to channel changes. A technician told us the boxes don't have enough memory space to perform correctly. Looking elsewhere for cable services. more

All Digital and I am happy! 12/20/2006

I am using Time Warner Cable, here is how it goes although when the power goes out I don't have a phone, but then when the power went out before I did not have a phone because I have cordless phones that rely on a power source. Problem one solved, same difference different channel. This is what I am looking at, I have cable, I have phone, and I have Roadrunner this saves me $502 a year. I could not ask for more. My phone bill will always be 39.95 long distance and local long distance is all inclusive, high speed capabilities (I went wireless through out the house an extra $5/month), and my cable bill that I was paying already. For three months I get it for $99, after that it is $137.77 for all three. Before I got Roadrunner and digital phone I was paying 111 phone, dsl included which was not reliable, and 64.47 for cable. You can see the monthly saving right away. If you are using dial up and start using Roadrunner you will actually get giddy using the net. Yes, it is well worth the money. The way I am looking at it, it is all win/win for us. more

TWC NEO 7/18/2006

Finally we were able to get TWC, and of course I have the DVR and have no idea how I lived without it. Excellent reception, my only downfall with TWC is the subcontractors that come out. Since this is the year of lightening storms our transformer in the basement was zapped, they came out a week later to replace it. He was a nice guy but said we needed a newer cable line. The following wed. another fellow showed up to install the new cable and hook my daughters ECOT up on RR. He had no clue was ECOT was so he did not do it, and told us he would not run a new line. Since we had reception we did not buck it at all. Two days later TWC called and yet another contractor would be out to install the RR, now he was great and it was done in no time. TWC is great but the inconsistency of the contractors is less than wonderful. more
