I took four brand new articles of clothing in to be dry cleaned. Two dresses and two wraps. All of them were ruined. I checked the articles before paying for them only to find that the wraps both appeared to have been washed, not dry cleaned. They had lost their luster, the ends were frayed and tangled with different colored threads knotted throughout. The dresses both suffered lost rhinestones and the fabric frazzeled. The clerk suggested I go buy a new dress... I was informed I could come back another day to speak with the owner to sort out the situation. The clerk wadded up my ticket and tried to throw it away without me seeing. I am not sure what he was trying to do, but I got the ticket back and will be returning later this week to speak to the owner in an attempt to rectify the situation. I left the items there so the owner can look them over. Hopefully it will be solved to my satisfaction. Will update the reveiw after the outcome...Three days later I met with the owner. I went in calm and willing to compromise to get the best outcome. He was not calm. He was angry and rather aggressive from the begining. He ran down a long list of excuses, all saying why it was not the fault of the cleaners. I was willing to have the items repaired rather than replaced, but this did not help the owners disposition. Luckily I had done some internet research beforehand and knew how to counter his excuses. After thirty minutes of him yelling and his help at the counter throwing countless looks of disgust and making remarks in another language towards us, he finally wrote out a check for the amount of the ruined items and reluctantly shook my hand. Make sure to have your receipt for the articles, your laundry ticket, and knowledge concerning the Care Lable Rules and the DLI should this happen to you.
