The Scene
This woodsy restaurant makes most folks feel right at home. The waiting area sets the tone, with its Hall of Fish plaque, timber-formed chairs and stone fireplace, complete with mounted marlin. Old photos dot the walls throughout; an elevated U-shaped bar sports a few TV sets and an antler chandelier overhead.
The Food
Dig into the basket of hot, doughy onion rolls for starters. Appetizers include typical wings and fried calamari, but it's worth waiting for the outstanding thin-crust pizzas topped with barbecued chicken or assorted veggies. Known for its fresh fish, Timbers offers a list of daily seafood specials; frequent offerings include tuna wasabi, Chilean sea bass and flaky halibut with lemon butter. Angus New York steak is super-charred and flavorful. Lighter options include turkey burgers and blackened tilapia sandwich. For dessert, try the amazingly fudgy brownie sundae.
