The Scene
One look at the mammoth day lodge, which rivals the ski hill itself for acreage, and you realize this place was built for crowds. Timber Ridge has more of a local feel than nearby Bittersweet; nostalgic photos and trophy cases filled to capacity take up hall space, as well as old posters and aging metal lockers.
The Slopes
Under the triple chairlift there is one steep run that might provide a momentary rush--about 50 vertical feet worth--but the rest of the terrain is largely intermediate, with mostly short runs and predictable fall lines spread out over two slopes.
