Best Wichita Florist 3/23/2010

Tillie's has the best selection and great prices. You can get a dozen roses for only $30. My flower arrangements always are fresh and last a long time. They run some amazing deals. They always have a dozen roses wrapped for $8.99, 1/2 price cooler on the weekends, and 1/2 price roses on Tuesdays. Plus, my kids love all the Webkinz there. They have the biggest Webkinz selection in Wichita. Never have had any problems, they are a family owned business and the really takes care of each order! I love to support family owned businesses in Wichita! Pros: Prices, Website, Selections Cons: Only 2 locations more

Tillies is such an amazing flower shop! I sent my mother flowers for her birthday and they arrived at her work right away. I also recieved flowers from tillies after I had my baby! They were wonderful to look at!!! Best flower shop in town. more

Wedding Flowers 2/9/2009

I used Tillie's for our mother of the bride and groom flowers and for our rose presentation to each other. Our white roses dipped in blue came out better than I expected. Now we always go here to buy these for anniversaries/birthdays or get out of the dog house gifts. They were reasonably priced and had them ready to go without any wait. I absolutely recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a florist more

terrible delivery 4/15/2008

we live in nc. attempted to have wichita rose special delivered to our grandmother's house on her 90th birthday(she lives in wichita). When there was no answer at the door, they simply left a card telling her that her delivery had been left at the next door neighbors house. The problem? The neighbors left and weren't home til late that night. We had to make 3 long distance calls for another delivery to be made to HER house as it should have been. She FINALLY got her delivery around 8-8:15 that night when the owner did make ammends to take it himself after his church function. Safe to say, we will take our business elsewhere in the future. more

    History Established in 1876

    In 1876, Amos Kuechenmeister came from Germany to settle in Wichita and open the Harry Street Greenhouse. Amos began his small business by selling the fresh vegetables and bedding plants that he and his wife Elise cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The original Harry Street Greenhouse met the local demand for quality vegetables and plants.

    As his business grew, so did his family. Amos and his wife came to have seven children. All of Amos and Elise's children worked in the greenhouse, including their youngest daughter, Matilda, or Tillie for short. While Tillie enjoyed working with the vegetables and plants, she loved working with fresh flowers. It was because of young Tillie insistence that the Harry Street Greenhouse began offering fresh flowers to their customers.
