Very long story made short. My van was having problems during my 1200 mile journey from Michigan to Orlando. I was taking my 3 daughters, each with a friend (yes, 6 girls). I just happened to be at exit 62 on I-75 in Georgia and ended up at Tifton General Tire. Jason stopped his lunch to check out my vehicle and could find nothing wrong. No charge. After giving me some of his thoughts of what could be wrong, we left. 30 miles away, the vehicle began to overheat. Called Jason and told him what was happening. He called a friend of his to tow us back, but we made it ourselves. Jason had called and ordered a thermostat, thinking that may be the issue, and was ready for us when we returned. Charged me a whopping $23.46 to replace the thermostat, the cost of the part! And worked past the noon closing time to complete the job!!! Jason said he didn't think the thermostat was our issue, gave us his cell #, and we left. 30 miles away, same problem! Called Jason, told him what was happening and that we would be paying for a rental car to complete our journey while leaving our vehicle at his shop to be repaired. With the $200 deposit, the rental cost was quoted at close to $600. Jason offered to come in the next day, Easter Sunday, and replace the radiator (he was 97% sure that was the issue) at the cost of the radiator, saving me the rental expense but losing a day at Disney. I was blown away that this man, who was a total stranger just 3 hours prior, was offering his time to us, free of charge, so we could make our destination. I declined his offer and thanked him profusely, stating I would rather he have my vehicle the entire week to make sure it was ready to take us safely back to Michigan once our Disney adventure was done. In the end, Jason replaced my radiator and serpentine belt, charged me about half of what the cost should have been, and made sure our vehicle was safe for travel (he called to make sure we made it home!). God bless Jason Jacobs, the BEST MECHANIC EVER, and the entire staff at Tifton General Tire.
