Stay away! Tidewater bought out our previous management company, and it all went downhill. They failed to fulfill contractual obligations (like a mid year inspection). They failed to enforce the lease terms (tenant had extra people living in the house in violation of the lease). Whenever we had questions or needed documents/information, they ignored us. It took multiple communications to get the most basic answers. The continually accused us of violating their policies, but were never willing to provide those policies to us, and show us what was wrong. When we prepared to sell the house, they were rude to our listing agent, refused to work with her, and complete tasks that we requested. When we ultimately filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Tidewater tried to cancel the management contract, in violation of that contract (they only gave 30 days notice, contract requires 60), and then claimed it wasn't in retaliation (even though it came right after they were notified by the BBB of the complaint). They have continually been rude, denied responsibility for their mismanagement, and kept on charging the same fees, for not doing their jobs. \r

Seriously find someone else, anyone else, or if you are close by, manage it yourself. We are overseas, so don't have that option. If you are with the military, don't expect they are going to protect your rights, or have your best interest in mind. They are clearly only out for a buck, and don't plan to actually do any work to earn it.
