Attempted to exchange sizes in a raincoat. It took very long for the new size coat to arrive. But, little did I know this was to be the highlight of my experience. After picking up the new coat, I discovered my coat was switched out for an inferior brand and the alterations were way off. When I attempted to address this with Corey, he replied, ""I fu*ked up. It's my fault. I had you try on the wrong size coat when we measured you for the alterations!"" He went on to say that switching the brands was common practice since the coats were comparable. (It's important to note my original coat listed $100 more than the one they switched on me). Finally, he said the coat could not be returned because it had been altered, even though he admitted to the inaccurate alterations and to switching for the inferior coat. After three weeks of waiting for the coat, four trips to the store (85 minutes round trip each), having my coat switched out for an inferior one and having the coat ruined by the alterations, the best Michael Gaylord, the store owner could offer me was to reluctantly allow me to return the coat....huge gesture! If I had purchased this coat from the trunk of a salesman's car parked at a corner gas station, I would have expected better customer service. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this store at all costs. There are plenty of upscale men's stores that appreciate your business and will treat you like a valued customer.
Pros: I never have to deal with this store again
Cons: customer service, unethical / illegal? business practices
