This was my first time at the restaurant, and it was a horrid experience, except that the lamb curry was delicious. The waiter told me that I could order any of the chicken or lamb dishes as part of the Nepali Set menu, and then told me that I could only order a chicken or lamb curry. My partner tried to order his Chyamtango Pujaari spicy, and the waiter told him 'It's already spicy', and it was the blandest thing I've ever eaten: we could taste no spices at all. Certainly there was no dry chili, cumin or garlic in evidence. We asked for water, and 15 minutes later, had to grab another staff member to ask again. We ordered garlic naan, and we received plain. People around us were getting served while we sat waiting. Finally, in disgust, we asked for the check, and when the waiter told me that I still had dessert coming, I complained about all that was wrong and said I didn't want to stay any longer. There was no apology forthcoming, and the bill was for the full amount. We left no tip. I've never done that before, and I'm 54 years old.\r
All of this is too bad, because the lamb curry was delicious. I suspect that I'll come back some day and try to have a better time, but this was one LOUSY restaurant experience.
