The Sonora Chicken Salad is mixed greens, fajita-style chicken, cheddar cheese and chopped grilled onions tossed in chipotle ranch dressing and topped with tortilla strips, sliced avocado, and tomato wedges. This has a good mix of flavors from salty to creamy to sweet and just a little bit of spicy.\r \r Short Ribs a la Diabla is tender beef short ribs smothered in a spicy Diablo sauce and white wine reduction. It is served with whipped Yukon potatoes and sauteed escaveche. The short ribs are extremely tender and the Diablo sauce is wonderfully flavorful and spicy. The mix of the short ribs and the whipped potatoes is just devine. WARNING: If you don't like spicy food, you might want to give this one a pass. When I say ""Country"", I mean more modern/crossover country which allows for plenty of line dancing for our younger adults into stompin' their boots all night long! There is actually a bar/club in Irvine!!\r And it is pretty good too. I know people from LA that come down to party over here in Irvine.\r Cover may be steep ($20 on Saturday) but if you get there early it's free.\r I can't comment on the food, I have never eaten there. The music varies from Swing, Top 40, Salsa, depending on the night. I recommend calling in advance to make sure the music is of your liking. more

The food was great. The atmosphere was lively. Our server was lovely and very helpful with the menu and margarita specials. Our party had nothing but raves for the food. The shrimp fajitas were great and the Carnitas were the best I've had outside of Mexico City. It got a bit loud at 9:30pm, but soon the place was hopping! If I were 25, I would have been on the dance floor, but I just drank my margaritas and watched (great people watching...lots of pretty young people out on a Thursday). We came for a friend's birthday on a Tuesday night, and they made us each pay $15 just to get into the resturant. Once we were inside, they made us guarentee that we would each order a full entree and have drinks. We finally got our cover refunded since we later found out only certain people were paying, but the food was brought out cold and two dishes were wrong. After about 9, they took away all our dishes and only served us with plastic forks and insisted we finish our meals so they could clear the table. The only nice staff there is the bouncer. Horrible place, its over priced and overall I had a HORRIBLE time. Don't go to this place..ever!
