I initially called Dick's heating and air, this company may be good at installing but they are lousy at detecting what is actually wrong with a furnace. With just a glance I was told that I needed a new igniter (which is why I called them in the first place). They wanted to charge $350 for a $140 part. I have done some homework. Then the repairman stated that the blower assembly was shot, that would be an additional $650. Then suggested I just replace the existing unit with a new one $3000. I proceeded to show him the door. I cleaned out the furnace and turned it on (without running the gas) and lo and behold everything worked but the igniter. I then called Thurman Electric they showed up in 30 minutes with the part needed and replaced it. Withing 10 minutes they had the furnace running just like new, and only for $220 (cost of part included).
