Thunderbird stables is definitely the place to go if you're interested in riding but can't keep your own horse/ field. Most of the horses are trained for novice riders (so if you really are into professional riding it may not be the best place). The horses all line up and go along but if you get a younger one you will have some room to guide them yourself! They ask about your experience when matching you up with a horse, so be sure to be honest! Also! It's a great place for birthday parties if you're looking for creative ideas! more

Great for Kids 9/18/2005

This is a great place to take your kids; they have guided horse-back riding trails and even those kids without riding experience can safely enjoy these tours. Whether your kid is an aspiring cowboy, or just crazy about horses, this is a great place for them to learn how to ride. more

what great fun 9/13/2005

my handicapped 6 year old son loves to ride. We have taken him here many times. they are very good with him. They understand he can not ride by him self and that someone has to walk the horse. I have no complaints at all!! The price is cheap also! Give them a try you wont regret it. They have also always given Dallas more riding time free! cant beat that! more

Thunderbird Riding Stables 8/19/2005

Want to thrill your kiddos? Take them to Thunderbird Riding Stables. There’s a decidedly western flair to the whole place. You can view the horses from the parking lot. Your kids will be picking out the horse they want to ride before they even get out of the car! There’s a whole herd of nice horses to take on their miles of Lakeside trails. A family horse ride is a great memory. Why not make one for your family this weekend? more
