Thunderbird Casino Shawnee

I've been going to this casino and since it opened in the 90's as a basic bingo hall. I've been to the ups and the downs of this casino and hate to see it's reputation bashed by idiots that are they have lost money to a casino. It's very funny to see people say this casino is racist and bash the employees. But this casino is one of the few casinos that is still run by it's tribal members who take pride in being native. Not like the surrounding casinos. That have obviously lost their true native ways. You lost your money fine but don't take your misfortune out on a business you went to thinking you was gonna hit it big. Thunderbird is a great casino with awesome staff. The atmosphere is great for it's size. It's not to big. not too small, but all around just right. I recommend you try it for yourself and not listen to those that need the 1-(800)-gambling phone line. The bottom bunch of people below this are just lame ducks who couldn't win. more

I don't know why they consider themselves friendly when people have to be invited to play there now (for promotions)? All other casinos are more friendly than Thunderbird! more

We used to enjoy going to Thunderbird until recently we have been observing what would seem to be a lot of coincidence, if you simply pay attention. Having never won a hot seat to this day I started noticing who did win. An inordinate amount of Indians seen to be winning. I don't believe this is coincidence and it certainly isn't random as they claim. It seems if you're Indian you are also really good at finding the machines that are paying. Also not coincidence, I don't believe. I guess they can get away with this, they are now. But, it occurs to me that if we non-Indians quit donating to this casino, they might change their ways, or go broke. I, for one, won't darken their door again. more

The workers will even tell you they are not there to give you money but to take your money. You might win one day but it's a fishing game. They throw out a little bait then real you in for the money.This place is a low life bar atmosphere with slots. You have to stand in line EVERY time you want change, cash out a ticket, anything! The lines take so long you want to scream. It's dog dirty, drunks stumbling around, watch your purse and money, they steal it right out of your machine, out of your purse. A GROUP OF US WENT TO THUNDERBIRD AND HAD A GREAT TIME. WEHEARD ONE OF THE BEST BANDS, SCOTT KING AND THE BLUE COLLAR BOYS THAT NIGHT. THEY WERE GREAT. ONE OF THE GUYS IN OUR GROUP WON A PRETTY LARGE JACKPOT ON ONE OF THE SLOT MACHINES. AND KEPT WINNING. IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY LUCKY DOG. I KNOW WHERE I WILL BE ON MY BIRTHDAY.
