I found this Company through the Internet then read reviews. Everyone is correct in their positive reviews. This Company is a must when it comes to moving locally. They are very professional from the person who answers the phone and makes the arrangements to the movers themselves. In my case I talked with Steve who gave me an instant quote and set up my move. If that wasn't enough he called me the day before the move to make sure that the address was correct for the pick up and gave me the time the movers would arrive. On the day of the move he called again in the morning to let me know the truck was 30 minutes out. How much more can you ask from a Company. Very Customer Service orientated!\r \r The movers arrived on time and worked very quickly. All paperwork was done upon arrival before moving even started. After finding that friends were not available to help me move, I started search the web for help. I checked out handful of movers and decided on Thrifty Moving. Made the call for a quote and booked them on the spot. They had the date I needed and the quote included wardrobe boxes and shrink wrapping in the pricing. Also they were super nice and helpful on the phone.\r \r The guys showed up promptly on time, 9:00 am on Saturday morning.\r \r They placed down protection in the entryway to protect the floor and got right to work. Amazing to watch these guys work they huffed and puffed for a solid 3 hours loading the truck. These guys worked non-stop. They took very good care of our stuff, and they wrapped all our furniture in moving blankets to keep them safe.\r \r We headed to my new place where they once again got down to business. The total move took about six hours and last time when I had my friends move me it took 2 days! The move was worth every dime because these guys were amazing. I'm not planning to move for a long time however when I do I""ll be calling these guys again. more

Excellent Movers! 6/9/2009

Absolutely great! We were completely stressed out and within minutes we knew we had made the right choice. I was very concerned about the wife's antique hutch. The driver completely covered it in furniture pads and used stretch wrap to seal it. The wife had a huge grin as they carefully carried it out. These guys really know their stuff and it was a perfect move. They moved quickly and used their time efficiently.\r \r Donald Pros: On time and Carful and quick. more

Great move 5/8/2009

Just moved from Martinez to Pleasant Hill and Thrifty Moving did a very good Job. \r I had a lot of heavy boxes that I over packed (oops) and they handled them with no problem. I also forgot to tell them about all the stuff in my shed that had to go. John and his crew did what had to be done and the move went great.
