Puchased a 2002 Land Rover over the intenet. Was assured by Allen (salesman-bullshit artist) this vehicle was in excellent condition and needed nothing. I paid over retail price as it had all the ""service records"" and was in excellent condition. I drove 4 hours each way to come pick up the vehicle, based on his word. I paid for the car in full prior to picking it up due to not being able to drive it back without plates or pay THEFT AUTO SALES Another $300 for a temp tag. When I arrived and seen the vehicle, the pictures were 1000 times better than in person. Here's the vehicle that needed nothing and their ""mechanic"" checked it over throughly. Here's a laundry list the ALLEN must of had an oversite on: Cracked windsheild, pop riveted molding, missing or broken moldings, beige leather was filled with dirt, grease and straight up filthy. Dash board around speedometer was falling off, the FOB does not lock or unlock the car (even with a new battery), rear brakes were totally shot, front brakes are badly worn. You have to put the brakes to the floor to get the vehicle to slow down and pump them if you want to STOP! The interior power lock button will only lock the passenger side of the vehicle, the carpets smell and are filthy. Oh wait, there is more, the tie rods on shot on both sides to boot! I'd sure in the hell hate to see a vehicle that ""needs"" a little work if this one needs ""nothing"". In one of Allen's correspondance he told me his mechanic MUST look over this vehicle as they don't like their customers to have suprises! I contacted Allen about all these issues and he told me you bought it ""as is"" and if you need me to send you that paper workk to remind you, we can do that for you. I've purchased many cars in my time and I had nothing but bad feeling in every bone of my body and I knew they were not going to give me my money back. When Allen asked me ""what do you think"" I said it's not what I had in mind and in much rougher shape than expected it to be in. He had another woman assist me as he knew he screwed me and wanted nothing to do with the delivery aspect of the vehicle. The poor customer service, disconcern and straight out blatantly being ripped off would make this one of the worst purchases in my 45- yrs. of life! I called him for days without a return phone call or everytime I called he was on the ""phone"" with a customer 24/7. We all know that to be BS! No one in the Country selling CARS is that buisy or didn't have the time to return a phone call. He attempted to avoid me, he wouldn't return emails as he knows why I'm calling him 10 times a day! Let's see, I'd sum it up to as Shady dealership at best, horrific customer service and this dealer will only contact you when you have your check book out and after they've got your money, your screwed! If you are to purchase anything from them, be 100% sure your mechanic that is not deaf, dumb or blind look over the vehicle. I made the grave mistake of buying before trying and trusting a shark. Just when you think it's safe to go back in the water, think again! Allen was kind enough to offer me a $100 dollars to not call or further complain and that we'd be all squared! This is pretty generous from someone who just hosed you to the tenth factor. Run from this dealership, don't walk and avoid at all cost. I hope your not like me an finding out what crooks they are after they've got your money and told you every lie a used car salesman could possibly tell you.
