I came to Thrift a few months ago looking for a new 2010 Jaguar and they didn't have one in stock...however, the owner gave me some personal advice to come back to them later when the price would be much more affordable to buy myself a Jaguar. I listened to him and recently I got a terrific deal on my 09 Jaguar XF Black with navigation, sports package, etc. The owner was very smart and kind to have given me that advice so that I would save more money instead of make an irrational purchase. Once you step into the showroom, you fall in love with all the luxurious sports cars presented. It sets a classy environment for the entire office and entices the customers to buy the cars they've always wanted. The moment I entered Thrift, I knew the exact car for myself and they were the perfect people to help me get it. I've been to many dealerships in the northern part of new jersey and this one here is certainly at the top of my list. I bought my 2002 Chevrolet Malibu and have been very satisfied with all the results. Their service is impeccable. The cars range from a red hot Ferrari in the showroom, to an older model of a comfortable Honda...You can find any type of car you desire at this dealership. I would recommend it to anyone who's interested. more

After trading in my 2003 Toyota for this car, I have been so pleased ever since...the salespeople worked with their boss to get me a good deal with some financing as well. Their website is very beneficial to the customers because it is enticing and provides all the information necessary. I just bought the most beautiful 2008 Mazda Miata! I was looking for this vehicle for months online and going to different area dealerships. When I saw this beauty on thrift auto's website, I ran over immediately as I knew it wouldn't last. Funny thing is that one of the salesman had another customer traveling in from VA to buy it. He had to call and let them know it was already sold. It was my lucky day and I couldn't be happier. The guys there are so funny and friendly. Definitely recommending them to my friends. more

Purchased my dream car from Thrift which was a BMW 335...i do a lot of buying on eBay but this was my first time buying a car on line...since they have 100% feedback and had the car i was looking for in my price range i went for it...when i got there the car was parked in front looking like new...thanks for making it so easy...what a machine more

I was referred to them by a friend and I usually hate buying a car. It's funny because usually when I went to buy a car before I would have to have a negotiating strategy just to know I'm getting a decent deal, but with them they just had an advertised price and there was no negotiation. They sat me down showed me every comparable car on the market that was the same, and it made total sense. We don't negotiate with our doctor when he tells us a price, so why do we have that mentality with cars. They told me that they provide a service and price it at the bottom end of the market value. Most importantly the car had the exact options and color I was looking for. The price was within the cheapest in the US! I would recommend anybody to go there! Owners are soo funny!! I bought a 2007 Mercedes Benz GL450 with over 50,000 miles on it. My wife was bugging me about getting her this car for months. Now let me tell you I was looking for a black on black car with every option for months all over the websites. My friend recommended them, I had not even known they were around. I went and met the owner Nick and he was a pure pro. He found me the excact car I was looking for in 3 days and was cheaper than the rest of the market. I saw a 2000 Eurovan on Thrift Auto Sale's website and called them from my home in Florida immediately. I had been looking for this car for months to transport to my family in Ontario. I dealt with Greg who advised me that they had lots of calls on this car and the only way they could hold it for me was if I put a deposit on it. Sight unseen, I bought the car, Greg over nighted the title to the Canadian border and the transaction was flawless. My auntie and uncle are quite pleased with their present. Will be making another purchase with Greg next month. more

Bought a vehicle from them first thing!! THEY lied about the price we agreed upon the phone got there and they tacked on another 1000 TOTAL garbage. Number two the vehicle was missiing all sorts of trim pieaces and wasn't disclosed. Just read all these reviews and there BBB rating unreal scams and crooked deals I would love to for these reviews to stop everyone from buying a vehicle from them. May seem like a good deal BUT they do 0 to the cars dont check them over you get a lemon everytime. They buy cars from local dealers that were trade ins and weren't good enough for them to sell at there Franchise dealer and wouldn't be able to sell so the sell them to these guys who ask dont fix but sell garbage!! DISHONEST PEOPLE No customer service. DO NOT USE more

found a late model X3 on the web and scheduled a test drive at Thrift...they have a beautiful showroom and a large inventory of high end vehicles that made our choice even harder...the sales staff was professional and patient every step of the way...in the end we selected an RX330 that caught my eye and was a good deal...financing also exceeded my expectations...thanks again guys!!! more

I place my car on sale on Ebay. On the 7th day when my listing was going to expired, I accepted an offering from John Schweighardt. The offer was accepted on April 2nd, 2011 and he wanted to pick up the car on April 4th. He was well spoken but quickly saw through his lies. He also changed his story a few times. He tried so hard to get me to release the car to ""his driver"" but wanted a payoff letter before he could send ""his driver to pick up the car. I didn't have a pay off letter because I still have to pay off the loan. He then said he would send ""his driver"" with a Bill of Sale but no payment. Who in their right mind give someone a $20,000 car without getting paid up front. He tried to get me to go to THRIFT AUTO SALES and negotiate the sale of my vehicle. I agreed but was told by John that Thrift AUTO SALES may not be able to write the money to the bank before I left. This meant I would have to leave them my car without getting paid. I spoke to EBAY and was told ABSOLUTELY DO NOT give anyone your vehicle unless you are paid up front. When I pushed the issue with John that he had agreed to the terms of my ad, I was told by him that I should have some trust. I WONDER IF HE WOULD HAVE TRUST. I never again heard from him. In addition he hindered the sale of my vehicle. HE AND THIS PLACE ARE A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTIST. THEY DESERVE TO BE CLOSED DOWN AND I WILL DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO DO SO!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE......THIS GUY IS A CREEP!!!! more

great dealership with great cars,great prices,and excelnt service. i was very pleased when i bought my rang rove sport. they treated me and my wife with respect,and honesty. when first saw this vehicle,i could not beleave my eyes,the range rover was spotless,i found nothing wrong,and its been a year and 7month and still no problems. im very happy with my purches. great price,lowest millage and best shape i could find. the best dealership i have been to, and some of the nicest cars in new jeresey, thank you (thrift auto sales) VERY PLEASED WITH MY RANGE ROVER more
