I'm an occasional weekender down at the rivver and after spending a full day installing insulation, I was ready to sit down and watch the world series final game. i got side tracked when I noticed water on the laundry room floor and beginning to flow into the kitchen...yes the water heater decided to crack . I took the necessary precautions to prevent further damage (shut off circuit breaker, open up the release valve, drain the tank, etc.). I called someone through a referral around 9pm but no call back. Then did search on internet, found Ray Thomas and didn't call him unil midnight. Expecting to leave a message for him to call me in the morning, he was already calling me before I could finish leaving a message. He check to ensure that I took all necessary precautions to stop the damage. The next morning he checked the site out, called his suppliers, got the right heater for a very tight spot (bad layout for accessibility). He picked everything up, returned later to do the install, which involved moving a washer and pressure tank to get the old heater out. Got the replacement in and on top of that, he replaced the shut-off valves that I had requested with the new ball joint valves. After having a gas water heater recently replaced in my primary residence and paying a heft price, Ray was definitely reasonably priced, professional and easy to work with. The install took longer than expected, but all to make sure everything was properly functioning and the no issues. I felt like I couldn't have gotten luckier after having dealt with plumbers in the DC area. You'll be thankful you picked him and I don't write reviews unless they really deserve it.
