I had heard this was the best dry cleaning place in Portland, but boy was I ever wrong!\r
I dropped off several expensive items to be cleaned. Once I picked them up, I discovered that several of my brand new shirts now were pilling, ribbons were frayed, and there were many unremoved stains.\r
I told the girl at the desk how unhappy I was with their service, and she snapped at me that I ""should have mentioned that my clothes weren't damaged BEFORE they were cleaned""\r
EXCUSE ME?\r
She then further sneered and looked down her nose at me, informing me that because I didn't have any proof that the BRAND NEW items I had brought in were not damaged before they were cleaned, I would not be offered any compenstation and I was SOL. After arguing with her for a lengthy amount of time, she tried to call the owner who ""wasn't available"". She then promised to have him contact me - it's been months and I've had no response.\r
Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning, and I sincerely hope that Thomas Joseph will re-evaluate their ""customer service""\r
I've been going to Sellwood Dry Cleaners (8326 SE 17th Ave) and they have been wonderful (1/3 of the price and none of that snobby attitude)
Cons: clothing damaged and not properly cleaned, terrible employee attitude, no response from management
