* Got six estimates to repair/refinish gr gramdma's 80+ dining room set. Picked Larry because his initial response was quick, price was good and he was so confident about finishing in the color I wanted (he even made a dig on the reputable Strip Shop).\r
*Picked up furn on 1/21/10, wrote on the deposit receipt ""try by 30th.""\r
*Snowmageddon bought Larry a month before I began to get antsy. He dodged my calls and made delivery dates that he did not keep.\r
*3/6 waited around all day for the furn to arrive (as promised). No furn, no call.\r
*3/18 delivered furniture in wrong color. Because he was so behind, he never stopped by with a swatch of the finish. It was RED. Sent it back.\r
*3/22 furn delivered in a nice finish. Despite paying for a complete repair/refinish buffet doors and drawers were not repaired. (Can't use buffet for storage.) Asked Larry to fix this. ""Knock 50 off what you owe and I'll come back to fix the drawers."" Never saw him again. Mediocre work, terrible service.
Pros: the finishing job was fine (the second time)
