The Yorktowne Hotel is a wonderful downtown hotel. The decor is pure elegance with beautiful and comfortable suites. There is valet parking available and a secluded bar area where you can relax and enjoy your favorite drink. The also have several dining areas with great food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. more

Luxury in York 9/2/2005

The Yorktowne Hotel is a gem in downtown York. It is incredibly elegant with beautiful suites. They have valet parking a lovely bar area, where you can sometimes be lucky enough to hear sweet sounds of jazz. What a great place to stop by with friends to share a moment. Make reservations for dinner and you can also eat al fresco. Service is good. Rooms are impeccable and it is as beautiful inside as it is outside. more

This is a really neat older York Hotel. This facility has retained the charm of old family owned and operated Hotels of the past. It is very clean, neat and comfortable. Inviting the guest to just sit back and relax and stay a while. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. The interior decorations warm and restful, no cold stainless steel here. A home away from home. more

Luxury in the heart of York 8/11/2005

The Yorktowne Hotel has long been known as THE place to stay when visiting York. It's luxury and elegance with and old world charm not found in hotels these days. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, and they offer suites. The lobby is elegant and sophisticated. Valet parking is available. There are two restaurants - the nicer of the two being the lovely Commonwealth Room. Many of the staff have been with the Yorktowne for years and years are are professionals ready and able to make your stay the best ever. The entire hotel is maintained very well and nothing is overlooked. Lovely for a romantic getaway! Prices are moderate to high. more
